1. This International Women’s Day, I pledge…
To encourage women to always know their worth and never let anyone make them believe otherwise.
2. Across the organizational landscape, I want to see more female representation in…
Direction. We need more female directors so that more stories are told from their perspectives.
3. The one stereotype about women that should be busted this year is…
That mothers are not good workers. For a man, his personal life is considered separate from his professional life. If he is getting married, having a baby, people would congratulate him and later forget all about it. However, for women, it’s considered to be directly related to how her performance would be at work, and questions are asked if they would like to continue work or not. Women are excellent managers and can manage everything with utmost perfection. When she can bring you into this world, she can definitely manage her work diligently as well.
4. I believe women can fight gender inequality at their workplaces…
By giving other women a chance to rise. They can raise awareness with their work and ideas in their communication so the masses absorb the concept and it can change mindsets.
5. As for men, they can help reduce gender bias at home and work…
By being understanding and giving respect to women as equal partners in the relationship as well as decision-making. That would set an example for the next generation. At a workplace, women need to be considered equal and their gender should not determine the sort of work or responsibility provided to them.
6. My message to young aspiring women looking to start a career in 2022 is…
A woman decades ago would have killed to get an opportunity provided to you with ease today. Use your position well and set an example for generations to come. Make your voice heard and let your actions speak and create a positive image… for yourself and all the women around. Uplift each other and don’t fall for the trap of ‘one against the other’. Together we can all rise and shine.
