Senior Assistant Brand Manager, Tapal

1. This International Women’s Day, I pledge…
To empower other women using the empowerment I have. I will try to create opportunities & paths that other women can benefit from to fulfill their ambitions to overcome their struggles.

2. Across the organizational landscape, I want to see more female representation in…
The steering team and factory as well.

3. The one stereotype about women that should be busted this year is…
That a woman with a kid/family is more prone to compromise work than a man with similar responsibilities.

“Tapal is promoting gender equality and women empowerment by creating awareness among employees on women day to remove all the biases.”

4. My organization is promoting gender equality and women empowerment…
By creating awareness among employees on women’s day to remove all the biases. Initiatives such as maternity leaves, kindergarten allowance, the confidence & opportunity to be vocal about one’s opinions, are also heard and taken into account.

5. I believe women can fight gender inequality at their workplaces…
Through support in terms of counseling and showing confidence. Initiatives such as work from home solutions for women with kids, single parents, leaves during mensuration can be one, also continuous education and awareness on breaking the barrier and pre-conceived notions for opposite genders. Also, training on sensitivity needs to be done.

6. As for men, they can help reduce gender bias at home and work…
By calling out any inappropriate behavior, by making women part of the decision-making process.

7. My message to young aspiring women looking to start a career in 2022 is…
Be fearless, be unapologetically you, and chase your dreams. Don’t let any small setback hold you back to conquer the world.
