Ufone and Faysal Bank collaborated to launch Pakistan’s first ‘contract package plan on smartphones with zero interest and down payment’.

This service has been exclusively launched for Faysal Bank credit card holders and those who wish to have a postpaid connection by Ufone. These types of installment and voice plans are quite common in other countries but we are yet to see such initiatives in Pakistan.

Customers can buy phones, such as the Blackberry Q10, the Blackberry Z10 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 on easy installments and cost effective voice and data plans offered by Ufone.

Available at a zero markup, the installment plan spreads over a year, covering on the price of the smartphone and service charges.  That way, customers would not have to worry about paying additional charges or interest that might be involved.

As part of this exclusive package, users can also get a golden number upon request, along with their discounted phones.

This initiative will also promote the post-paid method of paying bills and dues.  In Pakistan, the preference of post-paid and prepaid differs on the basis of payment, instead of phone service.
