Rahat Ali Khan was signed to sing in Mahesh Bhatt’s film Arth’s remake by Shaan Shahid which created quite the buzz in the industry. The two great celebrities also tweeted, appreciating the chance of getting to work together.
About the title of the song Murshid Jee, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said,“The song is [titled] ‘Murshad Jee’, it is a salam to Hazrat Baba Ghareeb Nawaz, and it has beautiful lyrics; full of emotions & energy.”

The song has been sung by the composer of the song, Sahir Ali Bagga and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as a duet. He has also sung Sanwar De Khudaya other than the one he sang with Rahat.
Khan will also be seen in the music video of the song as he commented, “I have featured inMurshad Gee along with Shaan bhai. The video is full of high energy and the shoot has a unique setup and idea. It’s been done very differently.”
