Shaan-e-Pakistan – Colors of Indo-Pak will be unveiling the final designer line-up and event details pertaining to the Indo-Pak collaborative platform through a press conference in Karachi on 5th August 2015 and later in New Delhi, India on 18th August 2015 to announce participating Pakistani and Indian designers.

Shaan-e-Pakistan is a collaborative initiative being spearheaded by India-based Pakistani fashion entrepreneur Huma Nassr who has been running her label Braahtii in Delhi and in Karachi since the past two years.

Head Organiser Huma Nassr says, “I love to introduce Pakistani culture in India and I take so much back from India to my home country. I feel so happy and safe in India, it is like my second home! With this initiative, I want people to experience the same and I am very glad that Pakistani diplomats have been very supportive of the platform.”

“Shaan-e-Pakistan – Colors of Indo-Pak” is envisioned as a platform for Indian and Pakistani fashion talent to showcase their craft on a unified stage as a means to create further awareness of the fashion prowess of the Subcontinent and to strengthen the bond between the two countries.

The three-day event will be held from 10th September to 12th September 2015 in India and will also feature an exhibition that will showcase handcraft and culture of the subcontinent’s most renowned artisans.

“I wish the people of both countries to share their individualities and improve their relationships by showcasing their craft, talent and ideas on one unified platform.

For the 3 Day event, the first day will consist of ‘Ek Shaam Pakistan Kay Naam’ which consists of a musical performance by Sufi music icon Amjad Sabri followed by a culinary feast prepared by the best chefs from India and Pakistan. Day 2 will consist of an open Exhibition by all participating retailers followed by an exclusive ramp showcase of 18 designers on day 3.

SHAAN-E-PAKISTAN is currently being supported by Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi and Federation of Indian Export Organisations [FIEO] along with Co-hosts Sangeeta Das from Equations India.
