The global smartphone giant, Samsung has launched their new mid-range smartphones Galaxy E5 and E7 in India.

Galaxy E-series by Samsung is the first ever series to debut from India, onto a global level. Along with that,Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5, which have been previously launched in China, are also being made available in India.

Targeted towards the younger crowd, the Galaxy E5 and E7 are unibody smartphones which are priced at Rs. 19,700 and Rs. 23,000.

Both smartphones are equipped with a ‘powerful and compact’ build that aims to provide enhanced selfie experience with the help of a wide angle selfie capability,  selfie voice command, selfie with palm gesture, and beauty face features, in addition to ultra-power saving mode and private mode.

The phones also sport a superior viewing experience, coupled with 5 mega-pixel cameras and Super-Amoleddisplay screens.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 are mid-ranging smartphones which are metal-bodies, and are priced at Rs. 20,500 and Rs. 25,000. These two models are also centered on catering to the demands of a style-conscious and innovation-loving youth as the target audiences.

These are the slimmest smartphones equipped with superior hardware and sleek design. Made available to the people in black, gold, white and grey colors, the affordability of these phones is what makes them so enticing.

Asim Warsi, the VP for Marketing of Samsung, Mobile and IT, for India stated, “India is the first country for the launch of Galaxy E5 and E7, reaffirming its position as a key market for Samsung globally. The launch of new dual-sim smartphones will further strengthen Samsung’s product portfolio in the mid-range segment.”According to Warsi, at this point in time consumers are not willing to make compromises on their smartphone experience.

This is the first time that Samsung is offering HD Super-Amoled display resolution to themid-segment market when previously Samsung was only reserving this feature for its premium devices like the S series.

The changing market demands has forced Samsung to adapt its premium products’ features to the more affordable ones. Do you agree?
