Manto, a movie based on the life of the legendary literary figure, Saadat Hasan Manto, is yet another movie to look forward to this year. Expected to release by the end of the year 2014, the movie Manto looks promising with its stellar cast and production crew.

 Written by Shahid Mahmood Nadeem, award winning screenwriter and playwright and directed by the popular Sarmad Khoosat, of the Humsafar and Shehr-e-Zaat fame. This alone creates enough anticipation for half the population to go watch the movie. To top it all off, the movie boasts a great cast of actors including Saba Qamar, Sania Saeed, Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Jaffar, Hina Bayat, Irfan Khoosat and the man, Sarmad Khoosat, himself portraying Manto.

The movie has used poetry by Majeed Amjad, Ghalib and Shiv Kumar Batalvi with the music scores done by True Brew Records and sung by the likes of Meesha Shafi, Ali Sethi, Javed Bashir and Zeb.
