Legendary singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, is all set to launch his own music academy.

With an intention to provide aspiring musicians a sound platform to kick start their music career, the singing maestro plans to launch a music academy.

In an interview to an American broadcasting institute, Rahat explained that the music academy will also have branches internationally in USA and UK.

First reported by ARY News, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also intends to start a Pakistan wide talent hunt show, featuring judges from Pakistan and across the world, including Hollywood and Bollywood.

While talking during the interview, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan highlighted the musical milestones that he achieved last year. His album, Back to Love, hit immense popularity allowing him to reach newer heights of success while the song Zaroori Tha broke all records to become the most downloaded song on cell phones in Pakistan.

The 41 year old international star also launched an event management company RFAK International last year.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also pointed out how he was invited to perform at the Nobel Peace event at the request of Malala Yusafzai.

Talking about the perception of the declining trend of Qawwali genre, the legend snubbed the belief and said that Qawwali has always been widely popular in the sub-continent and is still one of the most appreciated form of music.

With hit Bollywood songs like Teri Meri, O Re Piya and Mein Tenu Samjhawan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is back this year with a new number, Tu Itni Khoobsurat Hai, for movie, Barkhaa.
