A two-day public holiday has been announced on December 15 and 16 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) to mark the first anniversary of the deadly terrorist attack on Army Public School Peshawar (APS) which killed 151 people including 140 children.

All educational institutions and public and private sector offices in KPK will remain closed on December 15 and 16.

Chief Minister Pervez Khatak announced that law enforcement agencies will remain present on their duties. Meanwhile, many other non-government organisations have announced special ceremonies to remember the victims of December 16 attack.
