The governments of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan have announced a one-day public holiday to commemorate the first anniversary of the deadly terrorist attack on Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar.
Public schools, colleges and universities will remain closed in four provinces of the country on Wednesday.
According to the details, the provincial governments have approved a public holiday tomorrow. Government schools and offices will remain closed on December 16th, 2015 across the country.
On December 16th, 2014, terrorists attacked APS Peshawar and took lives of 141 innocent students, along with many teachers and school staff.
However, authorities in Islamabad say educational institutes would remain open on December 16 in the federal capital in order to create awareness against terrorism among the students.
