The highly anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 is set to kick off from February 17 to March 17, 2024, according to the proposed schedule.
The upcoming edition will feature 34 exhilarating matches across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. Karachi leads the charge, hosting 11 matches, closely followed by Lahore and Rawalpindi, each hosting 9 encounters, while Multan is set to host five games.
Lahore is proposed to host the electrifying opening ceremony, while the grand finale is scheduled for Karachi, promising an intense culmination to PSL 9.
Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, and Multan Sultans will play five hometown games each. However, Peshawar Zalmi will take the field for 4 matches in both Lahore and Rawalpindi. Not to be outdone, Quetta Gladiators will play 3 games each across Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
A well-considered rest schedule of 15 days is interwoven into the tournament for all participating teams. Karachi Kings will play all their nine games at night, while Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars, and Multan Sultans are set for eight night games each. Peshawar Zalmi is slated for seven night matches.
