PSL 5 2020

Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken the decision to completely host Pakistan Super League‘s 5th  (PSL 5) edition in Pakistan!

This news was shared by Naeemul Haq—the Special Assistant to PM Khan on Saturday. He has tweeted that ’empty stadiums at PSL matches in UAE justify PM Imran Khan s decision to move the entire PSL to Pakistan next year. Matches inshallah will be played in all the big cities of Pakistan with jam-packed stadiums.’

With sheer confidence, he shared that the nation will completely fill the stadiums back home in all the big cities if the franchise was completely brought to Pakistan.

Peshawar Zalmi’s owner Javed Afridi agreed to Naeem-ul-Haq’s statement as he shared his thoughts on Twitter as well.

When the first edition of Pakistan Super League started, all matches were hosted in the UAE including the final match. PSL 2 was also played in the UAE whereas the final was hosted by Lahore for the very first time. PSL 3 held in 2018 brought a total of 3 matches to Pakistan as the 2 eliminator matches were played in Lahore and Final was hosted by Karachi.

Now, PSL 4 is all set to bring 8 matches to Pakistan, 3 of which will be hosted by Lahore and the other 5 including the final will be played in Karachi.
