This year’s PLBW L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week was an assortment of modern and traditional styles. The event displayed a wonderful line-up of designers and the celebrities that perfectly showcased their art, who did not fail to impress.
1. Mawra & Urwa Hocane for HSY (Day 1)
Sticking to the traditional route, HSY showcased his heavily intricate, embroidered designs, titled ‘The Kingdom’, at the first day of PLBW 2016. The dynamic duo, sisters, Mawra and Urwa Hocane graced the ramp as his showstoppers.
2. Hadiqa Kiani for Saira Shakira (Day1)
Saira Shakira took a more modern approach to the conventional bridals this year. Displaying a splash of yellows that are a breath of fresh air as opposed to all the predictable shades of reds and whites. The showstopper for this collection was Hadiqa Kiani who stunned in pinks and pastels. She even performed at the event.

3. Hareem Farooq for Saira Rizwan (Day 2)
Saira Rizwan’s work was an array of pastels and sparkles. Actress, Hareem Farooq was the showstopper for this collection, walking the ramp in a trendy, off the shoulder ensemble.
4. Sohai Ali Abro for Shamsha Hashwani (Day 2)
Shamsha Hashwani’s work could only be labeled as high fashion, with the embellishments of Swarovski crystals amongst the detailed craft. Her collection featured Sohai Ali Abro who managed to add the much-needed flare.
5. Mahira Khan for Ali Xeeshan (Day 3)
On day 3, paving the path away from conventional bridal wear, Ali Xeeshan displayed a wide range of colors in his line-up titled, ‘Khamoshi’. Mahira Khan was his showstopper; she pleased everyone in a heavily embroidered, white and beige ensemble.
Some of the models strutted with toys at their hips conveying an important message advocating the end of child marriages.
