Hijrat is an upcoming romantic flick, will be the debut of model turned actress Rabia Butt, opposite Asad Zaman the winner of reality TV show, Hero Bannay Ki Tarang.
Written and directed by renowned TV director, Farooq Mengal, of the Chalte Chalte and Seeli Barish fame, Hijrat relates the stories of hundreds of Afghan refugees who were rendered homeless after the Afghan war and their lives that followed through.

Shot in Quetta, Baluchistan, Istanbul, Turkey and parts of Europe, the movie Hijrat also stars model Rubab Ali, Moroccan model, Wiam Dahmani, Noman Ejaz, Nadeem Baig, Ayub Khooso, Saima Baloch, Jamal Shah and Azra Aftab.

Butt plays the character of an Indian doctor, Jiya, who works with displaced Afghan refugees in camps and falls in love, when she meets Zaman’s character. The love story spices up with the entry of yet another model turned actress, Rubab Ali, and turns into the much predictable triangle between the three models.
