Recently, a Pakistani woman made the nation proud by winning Global Humanitarian Award for Women’s and Children’s Health. This woman is none other than the Chairman of Aman Foundation, Fayeeza Naqvi. This proves that Pakistanis are no short of talent. Be it fashion, film or technology, they are proving their mettle in every walk of life.

Naqvi’s contribution to Pakistan’s health and education sector cannot be described in words and is definitely a well-deserved winner of this award. The Chairman of Aman Foundation received this award as one of the four winners at the first ever International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) that was held in Nusa Dua, Indonesia.

This award held for the first time to honor and to recognize the work of those, who with their vision and passion are giving back their wealth to the society in order to bring improvement in reproductive, maternal, neonatal and child health, especially family planning.

The Sukh program of Aman Health chapter is particularly a program that the foundation devices to bring improvement in the quality of life of women, their newborn as well as providing information to them regarding family planning.

This Sukh program came into being as a result of the London Summit on Family Planning in which Gates, Packard and Aman Foundations joined hands to launch this program for underprivileged areas of Pakistan.

After winning the award, Naqvi said that: “We believe that healthy, educated and empowered women build strong families and productive communities.”
