Pakistan clean swept the two-match international T20 series against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club yesterday, with bowlers once again taking the mantle for the success of the national team.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first and scored 136 for 6 in the low and slow pitch conditions which made it difficult for batsmen to force their pace any more than average.

Sohaib Maqsood grounded the team with run-a-ball 26 while Umar Akmal outperformed all with an aggressive inning, earning 38 runs from 28 balls and an additional 24 with Imad Wasim’s partnership in the end.

While Zimbabwe scored over half the century 60 runs with the help of Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza’s batting partnership only, Pakistani bowlers including Wasim and Imran Khan, ensured that the hosts finished on only 121 for seven wickets.
