Sri Lanka is gearing up to play its first floodlight match against Pakistan in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that both teams will go head-to-head and Sri Lanka will play their first day-night match.


The series shall start on September 28 and will end on October 10 including a floodlit day and night Test match. According to an  official, Sri Lanka will also play  in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

The series will consist of five One Day Internationals and two Twenty20 matches. A T-20 match in Lahore has also been scheduled and a security check is being awaited, once the green signal is given, it will be hosted.

The official confirmed that the Test match to be played in the UAE would be Sri Lanka’s first match with the pink ball used in day-and-night Tests.
