Every year the month of December is packed with festivities and social events happening around. This year, Glow World in collaboration with Association of Youth Development Programs (AYDY) has come up with one of its kind Model United Nations conference named as Pakistan International Model United Nations – PIMUN conference. It is happening between 27th to 30th December in Karachi at Beach Luxury Hotel.
We all have witnessed the increasing trend of MUNs among the students nationwide, but there is a long list of factors PIMUN is adding to the conventional MUN circuit. Starting with PIMUN being an international juncture and hosting a huge number of delegates including chairs from Indonesia, Albania, Afghanistan, India and many other countries.
Apart from skilled international delegations and chairs, PIMUN is bringing forward the newbies and providing them the training (free of cost) of the proceedings of a Model United Nations conference.
The twist in the story is, for the first time in the history of Pakistan, an MUN is happening with plenary sessions. Yes, the plenary sessions that are an essential part of MUNs all around the world are going to be conducted in PIMUN as well.
Being an international MUN, the conference is required to meet certain standards and set some benchmarks. PIMUN, in order to maintain its international standards,is in collaboration with 6 different International MUNS:
- JOINMUN – Indonesia
- AIMUNC – India
- SMUN – Singapore Model United Nations
- PIMUN – Paris International Model United Nations
- UST MUN – Phillipines
- SSMUN – India
What appears to be interesting is that how smartly, an educational conference, that delivers debates on social dilemmas is paired up with an equally entertaining social events which will go parallel with the conference on all four days. The social events include:

Pakistan International Model United Nations has gone a step forward to fulfil its corporate social responsibility and has joined hands with the stars of the nation “Special Olympics Pakistan” – SOP as their CSR partners. The SOP athletes will be invited in the grand – star studded opening ceremony and will share the stage with some of the esteemed guests of PIMUN.
Other partners include 14th Street Pizza as exclusive food partners, ARY music as official social events partners, Ariba Investments, Connect, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and HIP magazine.
