Pakistan beat England by 178 runs in the second Test on the fifth and final day in Dubai on Monday, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

England was dismissed for 312 in their second innings with just 6.3 overs left in the match as leg-spinner Yasir Shah took 4-87 and left-armer Zulfiqar Babar finished with 3-53.

Joe Root top-scored with 71 while Adil Rashid made a fighting 61.

The first Test ended in a draw in Abu Dhabi. The third and final Test will start in Sharjah from November 1.
