Shahid Afridi sure seems hopeful of his team and said: “New Zealand are a good side and have been playing impressive cricket at their own turf. But the boys are motivated and I believe they have the ability to beat any side in the world.”

Pakistan has set a 172-run target for New Zealand in the first T20 of the three-match T20 series. The opener Muhammad Hafeez made 61 runs off 47 balls. The star player scored eight boundaries and two sixes.
Except Sohaib Maqsood, every Pakistani middle-order batsmen scored run at a strike rate of more than 100.
Umar Akmal made a score of 24 runs off 14, Ahmed Shehzad 16 runs off 14 while Shahid Afridi hit a string of boundaries and sixes scoring 23 runs off 8 balls.
