Money matters are stressful as it is, not to mention the inability to track your spending habits. Saving money is crucial to lead a stable lifestyle. Even though it is justified to splurge every once in a while, the occasional splurging can quickly get out of hand if you do not keep track of your expenses.

Saving money is not a task or a habit it’s a lifestyle built only with constant effort and dedication. So in case, you have lacked the motivation to save money, we will tell you all the foolproof ways to get ahead of the challenge.

1. Keep A Budget

In a country where most people are employed on fixed salaries, sticking to a budget to spend an entire month within your means becomes quite a task, not to mention the constant inflation and escalation of prices. Make sure to track your expenses accordingly. The fixed budgets, including the bills and rent, are the ones that should be sorted out first. Fix the amount for utilities and try to keep a margin that can not be crossed even if needed.

The best way to keep your expenses on track is to save or note down all the payments you have made in a month to get an idea of the essential things and the ones that are just for leisure purposes.

If your answer is No, you are better off not spending the money in the first place.

This Rooh Afza Cheesecake Has Become The Talk Of The Town- Would You Try It?

If you like Rooh Afza and cheesecake, then you are in for a treat – or maybe not! Pie in the sky has introduced a Rooh Afza inspired cheesecake, and we are not sure how we feel about it.

Roohafza Cheesecake

The bakery is known for its cakes, biscuits, bread, cookies, etc. If you want to get personalized cakes and baked goodies, the brand also caters to that. You can also find eid cakes and celebratory cakes for other significant occasions. Recently, pie in the sky has released its new and innovative Rooh Afza cheesecake in collaboration with Hamdard.

While cheesecake comes in various flavours, the rather unconventional cake has been going viral for combining two delicacies from two different parts of the world. In contrast, it’s not the first time the original cheesecakes recipe has been altered with a foreign ingredient. But this one sure hit close to home.

A significant number of people do love these additions to their cheesecake. In contrast, others dismiss the idea of making an already sweet cake even sweeter, cancelling out the flavour of cheesecake altogether.

Rooh Afza is probably the most consumed beverage during Ramadan, and cheesecakes are abundantly consumed during Eid. While the cake was launched right before eid, we still have to wait for the reviews from people who have tried it.

Netizens React To The Dessert

People who love cheesecakes understand how quickly adding an ingredient can ruin the cake’s flavour profile. What seems like bad taste might not be in such bad taste (quite literally). On the contrary, the netizens have been raving about the cake and those who still haven’t tried it can’t wait to get their hands on it.

Take a look at some of the comments by netizens below.

The Rooh Afza cheesecake is available at selected stores in Karachi and costs 1900/- Rs. Meanwhile, you can also order online.

Why Are Pakistani Ads Focused On The Urdu Speaking Community?

pakistani ads

A number of Pakistani ads that pass by your eyes, you will find to be in the Urdu language. Be it an ice cream ad, ad for tea, biscuit, or telecom, the conversation will largely be conducted in Urdu. Pakistan is a country that brings together numerous cultures that are rooted in extremely different languages. This information sparked me onto the quest of getting the answer to the question that why are the ads mostly focused on the Urdu-speaking community?

Read More: Pak Vs India: Advertising During The T20 World Cup – Who Did It Better?

Some stats on Pakistan

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) census data, the groups of people divided with respect to language are: Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi, Siraiki, among a few others. Putting it all into numbers, 44.15% of the Pakistani population comprise of Punjabi speaking community; 14.1% Sindhi speakers, 15.42% Pashto speakers, 3.57% Balochi-speakers, 10.53% Siraiki speakers, other languages combined comprised 4.66% of the Pakistanis. This leaves a mere 7.57% of more than 200 million people who speak Urdu. Why then, do our ads not accommodate the 92.43% and focus on the rest?

pakistani culture

Pakistani ads in Urdu

Now, why are the Pakistani ads in Urdu? Simple, the ad-makers speak Urdu having lived most of their lives in the big cities like Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore. But it is not that simple really. It does not depend on the ad maker, rather it depends on the advertiser (what language they want). These advertisers know all these numbers too and yet, they want the ads to be made exactly the way they are being made.

It is not like they don’t know where the masses are and who they want to cater to. They know it all.

Why?

One of the reasons that might just answer the why can be that creating ads in Urdu sits well with the perception of the brand. Should they choose to stray from this language, it will affect the brand’s image. By straying away from Urdu, they will be choosing one of the provincial languages. If they do that, other communities existing in Pakistan will be sidelined. They will instantly feel more distanced from the brand than the distance they felt when the ads would be in Urdu.

pakistani ads

And that could be why most ads are in Urdu. They are not exactly addressing the Urdu-speaking community, rather it is something that brings together all the divided communities.

5 Ways Brands And Agencies Can Benefit From NFTs

Technology has been advancing at warp speed in the past few years. One area that has been enjoying some of the most rapid advancements is blockchain. That doesn’t mean solely cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the slew of other cryptos being peddled on the crypto market. Non-fungible tokens or in other words NFT’s are all the hype now and there are about 81 million blockchain wallet users worldwide as of February 2022.

While many are benefitting from the trend, given the exposure, brands are also attracted to the NFT trend. Offering meaningful experiences to followers and consumers that are beyond the brand’s products or services.

But what is the key behind utilizing NFTs to a brand’s best pursuit? Here are some ways brands can take advantage of the tokens.

1. Increased Brand Awareness

When it comes to a brand and the experience, it’s all about how personal the consumer feels to the brand. NFTs can become a part of your brand storytelling, breathing life into it via something tangible that customers can own and which represents their experience of the brand.

2. Community Building

The NFTs are a wide spectrum of metaverse communities. NFTs can help the brand generate buzz by opening the door to user-generated content. They can get suggestions from your community about the type of tokens they would like to see and own or offer them as rewards in crowdfunding campaigns and contests. This will allow the brand to expand and build in more connections which in turn will increase the brand growth.

3. Monetary Rewards

Remember that iconic Pepsi commercial with Beyonce, Pink, and Britney Spears? The commercial was so iconic that we are sure there might be a few fans who would like to buy the NFT of the commercial. A brand can benefit by monetizing its best-performing ads multiple times over by turning them into NFTs. Let customers buy a piece of your brand’s history in the making.

4. Exclusive Assets

A scarce and exclusive brand collectible can do wonders to market the brand’s image. As bizarre as this sounds the NFT’s are all about getting your hands on the most exclusive piece out there. And what better way to create buzz than to come out with a limited edition NFT?

5. Support Social Causes

Modern consumers put great emphasis on whether brands represent their values. The brands can demonstrate dedication to social causes by using NFT revenue to support charities. Alternatively, they could invite artists to create tokens for the brand and to support them both with the exposure and the revenue generated by their creations.

6 Pakistani Drama Characters Brimming With Red Flags We Failed To Notice

mere paas tum ho

Do you remember the Sadaf Kanwal controversy that started because of her statement? While people bashed her for what they called an uneducated statement, there were thousands of others who actually supported Sadaf. They were justifying her statement because it matched their beliefs. Now, there are numerous other variables influencing these thoughts, but Pakistani dramas also have a stronghold.

Read More: Controversial Statements Of Sadaf Kanwal From The Past Go Viral

There are a number of teachings being dispensed in a drama, at a subconscious level and most of them get adopted by viewers. What leads to problematic teachings being accepted? They are conveyed as traits of protagonists. While the drama creators refuse to do better, it is our task to pick out the ‘red flag characters’ in Pakistani dramas. Following is a list of a few who were full of red flags but were featured in high-profile dramas.

Ashar – Humsafar

Loved by many, Ashar and Khirad were the focus of the industry for quite some time. But did you know Ashar was brimming with red flags? Ashar knew that Sara was interested in him so the moment he got to know about it, he should have distanced himself from her. But he wanted the company of his ‘friend’, even after he got married. Conveniently, he decided to limit that interaction the moment he could communicate with his wife. Talk about keeping options open!

Danish – Mere Paas Tum Ho

Even though he gathered the most sympathies, Danish, too, was problematic. Remember when in the initial episodes, Mehwish’s friend invites her to her brother’s wedding? There, you can easily see Danish dancing while being uncomfortably close with Mehwish’s friend. He also has his hand on her waist. However, when Mehwish even began talking to Shehwar, Danish freaked out. This is a major red flag no matter how much Danish says he considers the woman as his sister.

Dr. Haris – Sabaat

Another red flag in Pakistani dramas is Dr. Haris. The character was a psychologist in Sabaat. He was giving therapy to Miral. Now, due to transference, clearly, Miral began having feelings for Haris. Meanwhile, Dr. Haris, a victim of countertransference also considered himself to be in love with Miral. They got married.

To Pakistanis I would like to say, this is a red flag. In other countries, it is, in fact, a crime. Before you get married to your psychologist, consult another psychologist! Just because Dr. Haris is good-looking and is a positive character does not mean you discount his non-ethical behavior.

Pari – Parchayee

Parchayee featured Pari and Haaris. Pari was the main character’s daughter. She was in love with her cousin even though she knew he was interested in someone else. When she does end up getting who she wished for, she has to make way to his heart. How does the lady do that? She does all the cleaning; the sweeping, the dusting, and the cooking.

Parchayee, hence, distinguishes between the good and the bad woman this way. The good woman does all the household work even if she is perfectly capable to have a career or get higher education. And the bad woman will choose to get away from it.

Is Pari really the good woman? No, she is a red flag! You DO NOT have to prove your worth by putting yourself down!

Zohaib & Zahra From Sitamgar

Sitamgar featured Zohaib who cheated on his wife. He later got married to the person he was cheating with after knowing she would soon die. But he couldn’t stay loyal to her either and upon meeting the first wife sometime later, he said that his second marriage was a mercy marriage. Even though he had cheated, it was all ignored and he was painted in a good light.

Next up is Zahra, Zohaib’s first wife. After seeing clear signs of cheating and even after getting the divorce papers, she stayed loyal to him. In the end, it was revealed that she forgave him, and all for love.

5 Tips To Help Save Your Car From Theft In Pakistan

theft
PC: USNews

Throughout our lives, we’ve heard stories about all kinds of heroes, but we can’t oversee the problem that there are many thieves as well. Some lift from stores, others snatch and run, then there are the ones who steal your car!

Car thieves, car-nappers, or simply ‘chor,’ call them whatever you in, but several cases of cars stolen or car parts were stolen are common in Pakistan. These individuals sell the vehicle or its parts ahead for a decent amount of money.

If you have seen CCTV footage of such incidents, you can see that it’s only a matter of seconds before they use their techniques to steal your side mirrors, stereo, or the entire car itself.

So today, we will give you a couple of essential tips that may help you sleep better at night, knowing that your car is safe.

7 Driving Hacks That Will Help You Spend Less On Gas!

Tips To Save Your Car From Theft In Pakistan

1. Park in Safe & Trusted Locations

No one knows your residential area better than you do. One of the best preventive measures you can take to keep your car safe is to park wisely. Stay away from dark alleys and other shady places where you may have seen a group of strangers hanging out.

2. Camouflage

car cover
PC: BuyOye

Thieves have a limited time-frame to steal cars and are often in a hurry. They won’t spend a lot of time fooling around, which gives you leverage! If you think just parking your car is not enough, you can always cover it up as well.

Often, the stealers know what models they are targeting and on the look-out for certain parts. But, if your car is covered, they won’t know which model you own and may choose another target instead.

3. Rotate Parking Spots & Schedule

If the thief is a nearby resident, there’s a good chance that the individual has been monitoring the cars in the areas, including where the vehicles are usually parked and at what time. It’s a smart idea to shift your car’s parking (if possible) so that you remain unpredictable. Changes in time tables also give you a plus.

4. Avoid Leaving Valuables

Car Window Covers
PC: Team-BHP

We often forget a lot of things, including leaving our keys or mobile phones in the car. But, the left-behind valuables make your vehicle a possible target. The individuals are highly trained at spotting the items, breaking the windows, and picking up the valuables in minutes. If you can’t overcome your habit, you can always use window covers to prevent visibility.

5. Hide An Old Tablet/GPS Tracker

Just like how you can track an iPhone or Android phone using applications, your car can also be traced too. These handy GPS trackers help the authorities locate the exact location of the vehicle and help capture those behind the car-napping.

How To Identify Animals, Plants, And Landmarks Using Your iPhone

Ever wondered about the type of plant you randomly find on your street? Or a breed of dog which doesn’t seem familiar? If that’s the case, you don’t need to guess anymore. This isn’t the ‘90s anymore. In 2022, we have the technology to point our iPhones at mysterious things and figure out what they are in seconds. You need to know how to use it.

The feature was added to Apple’s suite of products last year with iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and macOS 12 Mojave.

How To Search Real-World Subjects On iPhone?

1. Take A Photo

The first thing you need to do is take a picture of the subject you’re trying to learn more about, whether a plant, an animal, or a landmark. If you already have a photo of the subject, that works just as well. Now, pull up the image in your Photos app, then look for a star next to the (i) at the bottom of the screen (you might need to tap the image once for this option to appear).

If there’s a star attached to the (i), that indicates Photos can use Visual Look Up on this image. If there’s no star, it either can’t identify the subject, or the image isn’t good enough to work with.

3. Look For Information

If there is a star, tap the (i). Here, you’ll see the typical expanded information options you usually do, with one crucial difference: “Look Up.” Depending on the photo’s subject, you’ll see different icons and titles for Look Up. For example, If you took a photo of a dog, you can see a paw print icon next to the word “Dog.” But that’s not all tap Look Up, and your iPhone will give its best guess about the dog’s breed.

4. Results

In your results, you’ll see Siri Knowledge, which points to articles from sources like Wikipedia with similar images of your subject. If you’re looking at a landmark, you might also see its address, as well as contact information when applicable.

How To Use The Feature On IPad And Mac?

While the most convenient use case for Visual Look Up is definitely for iPhone, you can use the feature on your iPad and Mac as well. Sure, you’re more likely to quickly take a photo of something on your iPhone than on your iPad, but if you already have an image on one of these other devices, the (i) button is there to help you learn more about it.

Pepsi Introduces The First ‘Pepsi-Roni’ Pizza & Here’s What It Looks Like

Pepsi is bringing something new to Detroit. The beverage company announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with the Culinary Institute of America Consulting to reimagine the iconic pizza topping and create the world’s first “Pepsi-Roni Pizza.”

What Is Pepsi-Roni Pizza?

The collaboration is in honour of National Pizza Party Day, May 20. And to celebrate, Pepsi is hosting a Pepsi-Roni pizza party in lower Manhattan which is allegedly pepperoni’s birthplace. Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Those wanting to snag a slice of the Pepsi-Roni pizza can stop by Made in New York Pizza’s West Village location and try it for free. But the party is only going on while supplies last.

“We have always known that pizza tastes better with Pepsi, so we’re thrilled to take this pairing to the next level with our #BetterWithPepsi campaign,” said Todd Kaplan, Chief Marketing Officer at Pepsi.

How Does It Taste?

The pizza topping uses a recipe designed by Pepsi and CIA Consulting that includes a Pepsi Zero Sugar reduction instead of the water typically used in pepperoni preparation. The result is pepperoni with rich caramel notes and brown spices with the citrusy pop of Pepsi cola.

“The pepperoni was literally invented to enhance the taste of a pizza; since we know that pizza also tastes better with Pepsi, we can’t wait to bring these tastes together to create the Pepsi-Roni Pizza. An unapologetically delicious creation that merges the best pizza topping with the best pizza beverage into one amazing taste experience. You truly have to try it for yourself.” Says Todd Kaplan

The concept is quite simple. “Pepperoni brings a smoky spiciness, and the Pepsi adds a citrusy sweetness,” said David Kamen, Director of Client Experience for CIA Consulting. “It’s an intriguing combination we think pizza fans will be excited to try.”

Here’s How You Can Get Your Hands On Pizza-Roni

The first way is to take a photo of yourself with some Pepsi and pizza on May 20 and post it to Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook with #BetterWithPepsi. After that, text “PEPSIANDPIZZA” to 81234 and upload receipts that show you ordered a Pepsi and pizza. Pepsi will then send you up to $3 to reimburse you for the experience. It’s a little less cool than eating a free slice of Pepsi-Roni, but it’s still a little bit of free money.

Another way to get a version of the Pepsi-Roni experience is to order your pizza and Pepsi through DoorDash. Any customer who orders pizza and Pepsi with orders over $15 will get $5 off.

According to Pepsi, the Pepsi-Roni pizza party is heading to other cities, including Los Angeles, Detroit, Miami, and Chicago soon.

Mango desserts

One of the greatest joys of summer without a doubt is mango desserts! It is time to binge eat the king of all fruits, but what if you’re feeling extra creative? Now is the time to think outside the box and have some fun with this delicious fruit!

Try these delicious recipes from the list:

Mango Mousse

Yes, yes, yes! My two favorite things combined into one. Just imagine the soft fine texture that tastes like sweet mangoes. Served chilled with mango chunks, it is the perfect way to wrap up an evening of festivities.

This delicious sweet treat is easy to whip. Here are all the ingredients you need:

  • Vanilla Custard Powder
  • Cold Milk
  • Sugar
  • Mangoes; in the form of mango pulp and chunks
  • Whipped Cream

That’s all you need.

Preparation time: 45 minutes. (15 minutes preparation time + 30 minutes chilling time)

Mango Delight!

What’s not delightful about mango desserts? Do not let the name fool you; as fancy as it seems, it is quite easy to make.

Things you need:

  • Whipping Cream
  • Vanilla Essence
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Mango pulp and chunks

Preparation time: 15 minutes.

The true essence of this dessert is the layering of vanilla-flavored cream (bottom) and mango puree (on top); thus, make sure you serve it in a glass bowl, so it just doesn’t taste good it looks appetizing also.

Mango Kheer!

Yes, it sounds unconventional, but hey, maybe you can have an exciting dessert to finish off with after hosting a grand dinner. The wholesome goodness of kheer with mangoes enriched sweetness; I can’t wait to help this one!

Things you need:

  • Oil
  • Vermicelli
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Cardamom Powder
  • Mango Pulp

Preparation time: 60 minutes (30 minutes cooking + 30 minutes chilling)

Mango Cheese Cake

Yummy! Cheesecake is always a delight to have, and mango is just the thing to make the cheesecake more exciting.

Just like the rest of the recipes mentioned above, this cheesecake is easy to make and worth it.

Things you need:

  • Digestive biscuits. (This is not a must; I have made this dessert with both Marie and Tiger biscuits)
  • Butter
  • Yogurt
  • Cheese
  • Condensed Milk
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Mango pulp
  • China Grass (Alternate to Gelatin)
  • Lime Juice

Preparation time: 2 hours.

Mango Vanilla Yogurt

As somebody who loves flavored yogurt and likes hassle-free tasks; this is one recipe I am incredibly excited to try out.

Besides, if your kid is giving you a hard time this summer, not eating as much as he or she should, maybe this might be the very recipe that answers your prayers.

Things you need:

  • Mangoes in the form of pulp
  • Granulated sugar
  • Vanilla essence
  • Yogurt

Preparation time: 15 minutes.

Mango Cream

This in itself might not seem like the perfect dessert to you, but paired with vanilla sponge cake, fruit cake, or even digestive biscuits, this could be the weekend treat that you are looking for.

I love experimenting with food when I’m cooking, I can think about at least ten combinations of mango cream and another item that could prove to be the perfect dessert. Maybe mango cream fruit chaat? It could be a different twist to the traditional chaat that we have.

Things you need:

  • Mango
  • Honey
  • Whipped Cream
  • Grounded Sugar

Mango Float

I’ve heard a lot about it, but unfortunately, I’ve never had the chance to make it. It is the perfect dish to take as a gift to someone else’s dinner party. Just like most of the mango dishes, it doesn’t only taste good but is also visually appealing.

Things you need:

  • Thinly sliced mangoes
  • Whipped Cream
  • Condensed Milk
  • Salt
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Digestive Biscuits (Again, just like in the cheesecake, you can alternate with Tiger or Glucose Biscuits. Marie biscuits with their circular shape might not serve as the best material for the base.)

Preparation time: 20 minutes.

Mango Ice Cream

How could we entertain the idea of mango desserts and not bring forth the recipe for mango ice cream? Ice creams are one of the most sought after sweets; this has a lot to do with the fact that it can be used as the perfect dessert on several occasions. Mango ice cream is the ideal way to merge the two best dessert items into one fantastic dessert.

The following recipe uses only three ingredients! And what’s more, this recipe uses no eggs or ice cream machine.

Things you need:

  • Mango
  • Cream
  • Condensed Milk

Just follow the simple instructions in the below-shown video and treat yourself to some incredibly delicious mango ice cream!

Mango Smoothie

We all love mango milkshakes; chilled mango milkshake is perfect for a beautiful summer afternoon. Not only does it taste so good, but it also tends to energize the body for a better part of one’s day. A mango smoothie is more leisurely to sip at, with a combination of items. I like to believe that a mango smoothie is a mini snack in its entirety.

Things you need:

  • Mango
  • Banana
  • Yogurt
  • Milk

Use low-fat yogurt and low-fat milk if your weight-conscious and scared at putting on a few pounds—fun fact: there are 99 calories in 165 g of diced mangoes.

Panna Cotta

This is a rather an untraditional dessert, and I only know of a few restaurants in Pakistan who might as well serve this. Since we are all in quarantine, I think this summer, you should try something different; go outside your comfort zone and try making this at home.

Things you need:

  • Mango Juice/Nectar
  • Unflavored gelatin
  • Mango Pulp
  • Milk
  • Powdered sugar
  • Salt

Why Do Brands Opt For Fake Reviews & How Ethical Is It?

fake reviews

Online shopping is still considered murky waters in Pakistan. Not being able to touch your prospective buy has a psychological effect on us. To address that fear, brands began adding an option for customers to leave reviews. Seeing these reviews, the potential customers feel reassured that the product will be a safe buy. But most brands also feature fake reviews.

Read More: Top 10 Brands That Almost Died Out But Didn’t Give Up

Fake Reviews

Due to the fact that if customers do not see reviews, good or bad, they do not go through with the purchase, brands are now paying people to send in reviews. Are all paid reviews bad? Not really. When a brand tells you they will pay you regardless of what you say, it becomes a paid review. The person reviewing can say what they feel about the product truthfully. That is not a fake review. But after seeing that reviews help more customers to pool up, some brands get people to do fake reviews. They pay people to write everything good about the product; that there is nothing better than the said product.

fake reviews

Is it ethical?

When customers see a 5-star rating for a product, they will go ahead with it. And if it was a product with fake reviews, they will end up with a bad product. The money and time, all of it gone to waste for the customer making it a fairly unethical practice. But the brand surely made a profit so even if unethical why should other brands care?

What can be done?

The brand side must care because when more companies begin to take this approach, they tell the customers that no reviews can be trusted. In the long run, even if a legit brand, that has never asked for fake reviews, gets a 100% positive rating, the customers will be reluctant to accept it. Brands should pool up efforts to ensure their fellow brands are not getting fake reviews.

Should Brands In Pakistan Be Excited About Metaverse?

metaverse

The phenomenon of metaverse has existed for quite some time. It was there in the Matrix and Ready Player One. In fact, it was also making its way into the world for some time with virtual reality games offering you options to make purchases real-time purchases. But since it was usually in games, it wasn’t being given much attention. However, with the parent company Facebook rebranding itself as Meta, people were blasted with the fact that metaverse was soon to become the truth.

Metaverse universally

As you would know that the plan of the metaverse is to allow people to spend their whole lives in a virtual universe. Be it attending school, going to the library, shopping, having virtual cars to do all these tasks online; everything to be done there. This opens up the possibility of brands having a presence in the virtual world, of course. And they have begun doing it.

NASCAR, the auto racing sanctioning and operating company, is already dropping the first digital car in a game known as jailbreak. Soon, apparel brands and other categories will jump in too. But this is still, metaverse in the global context.

Metaverse in Pakistan

Entertainment, technology, trends – initially, it was hypothesized that it takes Pakistan ten years to adopt something from India which they adopted ten years after the first world. Of course, the advent of digital has revamped the situation. While the ten years may not balance the equation now, it still takes time for Pakistan to adopt what is going on in the Global North.

Like we discussed above, Metaverse is still in its infancy. Brands of the Global North themselves are still trying to understand it. Yes, some are already trying their luck but it’s a very small percentage of big names doing so. Hence, if a phenomenon is still not fully realized in the first world, do you really think brands in Pakistan would adopt it already?

4 Pakistani Brands That Made It Big Internationally

Pakistani brands

Should the brands in Pakistan be excited about it? No. But should they plan for it? Most definitely, YES!

One doesn’t know how soon Pakistanis will adopt the metaverse. But given how soon TikTok became a sensation in the country soon after its launch it may very well be that Pakistanis will also adopt it. If there is even a remote possibility of it happening soon, then Pakistani brands should surely be ready for it.

5 Signs That You Are Into Foreign TV Dramas & They Are Hilarious

TV Dramas

Most people assume that dubbing foreign TV dramas is the only way to consume them. That is so not true. While it is one of the few ways, dubbing takes away the real essence the show has when seen in the original language. When a character says a very impactful line but the translation ruins it, it won’t have the same impact, and foreign drama addicts know this too well. And so, people choose to watch dramas in the original language but with subtitles.

But how would you know you are addicted to foreign TV dramas? Here are five signs that can help you figure that out.

1. You don’t look at the screen

Now that when most people try to get their hands on dramas in original languages, they also need subtitles. But the subtitles move at the same speed as the verbal dialogues, so they are fast. So your eyes are almost always fixed at the bottom of the screen rather than at the screen.

TV dramas

2. Unsynced with the whole country

If you are too much into a particular country’s dramas, you won’t just be watching the completed ones but also the ongoing ones. These weekly dramas make you wail for the next episodes, and while you are screaming for them, your fellow citizens can’t relate to it because their hype is for, let’s say Sabaat, and you cry for ‘GOBLIN.’

3. You have dark circles

You forget your studies, you fail to sleep, and you miss out on the food. But all you can think of is one more episode. And the dark circles become your friend. They never leave after that, mainly because you never leave foreign dramas. So with dark circles getting bigger, you keep saying ‘one more episode’ and the drama ends, and you say ‘one more drama.’

tv dramas

4. Unknown words in your vocabulary

Once you get into a foreign drama industry, you start obsessing over everything shown in that. Top of the list is the language. Sometimes subtitles tell you what a phrase means, and sometimes they just sound nice, so you start repeating them in the center of the bus stop (speaking from experience).

5. Food, and you want it

You start obsessing about the food you have never eaten. And you have only seen the actors eat it exotically. So if your mom makes daal chawal and you are thinking of jjajangmyeon, you, my friend, are a foreign drama addict.

These are just a few signs, but if you have them, you are a lost case. But it doesn’t matter to you because you love it, and that’s another sign.
