Walter White’s ‘Breaking Bad’ House Listed for $4 Million

Breraking Bad

The modest Albuquerque home where Walter White’s fictional digs took shape in the sensational series Breaking Bad from AMC is listed for $4 million. Currently, this house, with an approximate value of about $350,000, sells for a whopping $4 million because it has become a kind of cultural landmark by dint of its affiliation with the worldwide popular series.

A Piece of TV History

Fans of Breaking Bad have long been drawn to the unassuming three-bedroom, one-bath house, turning it into a pilgrimage site. From reenacting iconic scenes to snapping selfies, devotees have often crowded the neighbourhood, much to the dismay of the longtime owners, the Quintana family. Joanna Quintana, who grew up in the house, explained the decision to sell after 52 years: “We’re going to walk away with just our memories. It’s time to move on.”

The listing capitalises on its fame, describing the home as “more than a house — a character in its own right.” This unique opportunity to own a piece of television history is an experience for the buyers.

A Dream for Fans

The asking price of $4 million reflects the property’s pop-culture significance. The Quintana family hopes a buyer will transform the home into something fans can enjoy, such as a museum or a themed bed-and-breakfast. “I hope they make it what the fans want,” Quintana said, acknowledging the devotion the show continues to inspire.

The Challenges of Fame

However, this role as a real-life custodian of the fictional character’s abode has come with its challenges. Fans constantly invaded the family’s privacy; some even tried to recreate the pizza-on-the-roof scene despite Vince Gilligan’s pleas for them to desist. During a podcast, Gilligan quipped: “If I catch you doing it, I will hunt you down.”

For the Quintana family, constant fan presence transformed from being a novelty to becoming a nuisance. Visitors have occasionally faced hostility with owners shouting at unwelcome trespassers.

The Future of the ‘Breaking Bad’ House

As the house waits in line for a new owner, it stands also as a testament to the enduring legacy of Breaking Bad. It will become a museum, a themed rental, or perhaps just a private residence once more, but that piece of property embodies the complex intersection of pop culture and real life. To fans, it remains a symbol of the unforgettable world of Vince Gilligan in which even a house could become a star.

AB de Villiers’ Advice to Virat Kohli: Refocus and Reset

ab-de-villiers-advice-to-virat-kohli-refocus-and-reset

When a cricketing legend like AB de Villiers speaks, the world listens—especially when he’s talking about someone as iconic as Virat Kohli. Recently, the former South African skipper shared some golden advice for Kohli, who had a forgettable series against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Kohli, known for his aggressive batting and fiery presence, managed just 190 runs across nine innings. Despite a century in the opening Test in Perth, the rest of the series was a struggle. The main issue? Chasing deliveries outside the off-stump.

All eight of his dismissals came in that dreaded channel, and it wasn’t just the Aussie pacers exploiting it—it was also Kohli’s mindset.

Read More: Virat Kohli Eyes 2027 World Cup Despite Struggling Form

The Battle Beyond the Bat

De Villiers, who knows a thing or two about thriving under pressure, believes Kohli’s struggles are not just technical. He pointed out that Kohli’s over-involvement in the game, both with the opposition and the crowd, may be impacting his focus.

“Virat loves the fight,” de Villiers explained. “But when you’re not in the form of your life, it’s best to get rid of those distractions. Sometimes the crowd gets under his skin, and he starts having personal battles with players.”

This isn’t new for Kohli. His passion and aggression have always been his trademarks, but as de Villiers wisely noted, those same qualities can occasionally work against him.

Reset. Refocus. Repeat.

So, what’s the solution? De Villiers emphasized the importance of resetting after every delivery. It’s about treating each ball as a new event, forgetting the bowler, and focusing on the moment.

“It takes a lot of character, hunger, and hours in the nets,” said de Villiers. “But the key is to reset your mind every time. Forget about the bowler. Forget about the crowd. Just focus on the ball.”

He added that Kohli’s greatness, skill, and experience are beyond doubt. It’s his fighting spirit—usually a strength—that sometimes becomes a distraction.

Virat Kohli: The Fighter at Heart

One of the things fans love most about Kohli is his fighting spirit. He wears his heart on his sleeve and thrives in battles on the field. But as de Villiers rightly pointed out, even the fiercest warrior needs to pick his battles.

“When you’re out of form, it’s about simplifying the game,” de Villiers explained. “Virat wants to show the whole of India he’s there to fight for them. But sometimes, that fighting nature makes him forget the basics.”

There’s no doubt Kohli will take this advice to heart. If anyone can bounce back from a rough patch, it’s him. His hunger for success, combined with his immense skill, makes him one of the most formidable batters in the world.

But as de Villiers said, it’s not about reinventing the wheel. Kohli doesn’t need to change who he is—he just needs to refine his approach. A little more focus, a little less involvement with the crowd, and we’ll likely see him back to his best in no time.

Virat Kohli Eyes 2027 World Cup Despite Struggling Form

shoaib-akhtar-claims-virat-kohli-play-in-pakistan

In the world of cricket, few names shine brighter than Virat Kohli. Known for his unmatched passion and relentless drive, the Indian star batter has seen countless highs in his illustrious career. But the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against Australia wasn’t one of them.

The series was a tough pill to swallow, not just for Kohli but for Indian fans as well. A 3-1 loss to Australia, India’s first BGT defeat since 2017, left questions lingering about the future of veterans like Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Virat Kohli Isn’t Done Yet

Despite the whispers and headlines, Kohli has no plans to hang up his boots. According to Indian media reports, the 36-year-old is “in no mood” to retire and is determined to extend his career until the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, set to be hosted in Africa.

It’s clear Kohli isn’t ready to let one tough year define his legacy despite a tough season recently. Let’s not sugarcoat it—2024 wasn’t kind to Kohli.

He managed just one Test century all year, a knock in the second innings of the first BGT Test in Perth. Beyond that, his struggles were evident. The Australian bowlers repeatedly got the better of him, especially with deliveries outside the off-stump.

has-virat-kohli-lost-his-edge-cricket

It wasn’t just Kohli, though. Rohit Sharma also faced a nightmare series, scoring only 31 runs in five innings. The duo’s poor form has raised serious questions about their place in India’s future Test plans.

Selectors Face Tough Decisions

The chatter doesn’t end with fans; even former selectors are weighing in. One of them hinted that neither Kohli nor Rohit might make the cut for India’s upcoming Test matches unless they play some red-ball cricket before the England tour.

“IPL form can’t be the basis for Test selection,” the selector reportedly said. That’s a fair point. T20 fireworks don’t necessarily translate into Test consistency, especially in challenging conditions.

Kohli’s desire to play until 2027 speaks volumes about his commitment. He’s not someone who backs down after a bad patch. If anything, he thrives under pressure. With a long break before India’s next Test assignment, Kohli has time to work on his game and rediscover his mojo.

According to doctors, he is healthy. His family resides at Khatla East in Aizawl city. His parents are Ramzirmawii and ZD Remruatsanga, and his elder sister lives with them.

India's First Gen Beta Baby

What is Generation Beta?

Generation Beta is the generation born between 2025 and 2039. The term, coined by futurist Mark McCrindle, signals a break with tradition in naming generations to reflect a completely new world that is moulding these children. Generation Beta will be the first generation born fully into a world of advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and robotics that succeeded Generation Alpha (2010–2024).

Gen Beta is expected to make up 13–16% of the world’s population by 2039, raised in a world that has experienced unprecedented technological integration. This gives them an edge in terms of adaptability and being more tech-savvy, but it also presents a risk for creativity and interpersonal skills.

Challenges and Opportunities for Gen Beta

The children of Generation Beta will inherit a planet struggling with climate change, overpopulation, and environmental degradation. Experts predict that this generation will be at the forefront of dealing with these crises, making decisions in both personal and societal lives based on sustainability.

Unlike previous generations, Gen Beta is expected to internalise the importance of renewable energy, waste reduction, and innovative approaches to tackling global problems. Their lives will likely blend physical and digital realities, making sustainability-focused technology an integral part of daily routines.

Shaping a New Era

The birth of Frankie Remruatdika Zadeng is symbolic of a new chapter in humanity’s story. As the world shifts to accommodate rapid technological advancements, Gen Beta will face the dual challenge of leveraging cutting-edge innovations while addressing humanity’s most pressing issues.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau ‘Likely’ to Resign

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau 'Likely' to Resign

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will soon be announcing his resignation as leader of the ruling Liberal Party, according to reports. Though no such thing has happened yet, sources familiar with the situation believe Trudeau may step down before an emergency meeting of Liberal legislators scheduled for this Wednesday. If he does so, this decision will mark the end of his nine-year tenure as the Prime Minister of Canada.

Justin Trudeau Faces Increasing Pressure to Resign

Unfortunately, Justin Trudeau has faced a growing demand from his party to step aside. These incidents particularly occurred after a series of bad opinion polls. Moreover, the liberal party had begun to lose seats traditionally safe for them. These challenges have raised concerns about the party’s ability to compete in a federal election, which must take place by October. Polls suggest the Liberals could defeat the opposition Conservatives significantly if Justin remains on top.

Read more: How Canada’s Voters Turned on Justin Trudeau

Matters only got worse with time. The pressure increased by December when Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, a close ally, resigned after clashing with Trudeau over spending policies. During her resignation letter, Freeland accused the PM of Canada to be prioritising political gimmicks over the country’s best interests. Her decision only highlighted internal tensions within the government, further fueling calls for change.

Justin Trudeau’s leadership journey began in 2013. He had taken charge of a struggling Liberal Party and transformed it into a powerhouse. He won a decisive victory in 2015 with promises of progressive reforms and “sunny ways.” Regardless of his success, years of governing while facing challenges like the pandemic, rising inflation, and a housing crisis, have taken a toll on his popularity.

What Awaits the Liberals?

If the PM announces his resignation, people will begin to question the timing of his departure. Reports suggest he may stay on as prime minister until a new Liberal leader is chosen. However, some believe an immediate leadership change is necessary to stabilize the party and prepare for the upcoming election.

Sadly, the Liberal Party faces a critical moment right now. Trudeau’s resignation would leave it without a permanent leader during a very challenging time. Moreover, his departure could trigger calls for an early election to ensure stable governance.

Justin Trudeau’s potential resignation will mark the end of an era for Canada’s politics. Though as PM he brought important reforms, critical challenges, and internal conflicts that have pushed his leadership to a breaking point. Whether he decides to step down immediately or gradually, it will shape the future of the Liberal Party.

AI: Saving the World or Sabotaging It?

AI: Saving the World or Sabotaging It?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has changed how we live, work, and think. It’s everywhere; from our smartphones to our cars, slowly taking over one step at a time. Some say AI is a blessing while others believe it’s a curse. In reality, it’s both. Let’s explore how AI is both saving and sabotaging the world at the same time.

AI as the World’s Lifesaver

  • Revolutionizing Healthcare

AI is transforming healthcare like never before. It can detect diseases faster than doctors. For example, AI tools can identify cancer in early stages. This saves countless lives and helps develop new drugs. Machine learning analyses data and predicts outcomes, which speeds up research and makes treatments accessible.

Moreover, AI-powered chatbots assist patients with basic health advice. They answer questions and guide people to the right resources. In areas where doctors might not be available, AI can bridge gaps and save lives.

  • Enhancing Education

AI is making education more personalised, by analysing students’ strengths and weaknesses. Platforms like Duolingo or Khan Academy use AI to adapt lessons for each student. This improves learning outcomes.

Not only students, but teachers benefit too. AI helps grade assignments and track student progress. It saves time for teachers, allowing them to focus more on teaching. Furthermore, for students with disabilities, AI provides tools like speech recognition and text-to-speech software.

  • Boosting Business Efficiency

In business, AI increases productivity. It automates repetitive tasks, saving time and money. Chatbots handle customer queries 24/7. This improves customer satisfaction and reduces workload.

AI also analyses market trends. It predicts customer behaviour and helps companies make smarter decisions. In manufacturing, robots powered by AI streamline production lines. They reduce errors and speed up production.

  • Fighting Climate Change

This might sound surprising but AI is also helping combat climate change. It monitors carbon emissions and tracks deforestation. AI tools predict natural disasters like floods or wildfires, allowing governments to prepare and save lives.

Smart grids powered by AI optimise energy use, reduce waste and promote renewable energy. Drones equipped with AI can plant trees in deforested areas, making AI a powerful ally in environmental protection.

AI as the World’s Saboteur

  • Job Displacement

Despite its benefits, AI threatens jobs. Many tasks once done by humans are now automated. Factory workers, cashiers, and even writers face the risk of replacement.

This creates economic inequality. While some people gain high-paying AI-related jobs, others lose their livelihoods. As a result, governments struggle to retrain workers and create new opportunities.

  • Privacy Concerns

AI collects massive amounts of data. Social media platforms, apps, and smart devices track our every move. This raises serious privacy issues. Companies use this data to target ads. However, sometimes, they misuse it without consent.

Governments also use AI for surveillance. In some cases, this helps prevent crime, but it can also invade personal freedoms. Citizens fear a world where they’re constantly watched.

  • Bias in AI Systems

It is important to understand that bias does not spare AI from its claws. The AI decisions get influenced too because of the inherently biased data it is trained upon. For example, some hiring algorithms tend to favour a particular gender or race, thus reinforcing discrimination.

It also finds itself in great trouble with ethical dilemmas. Some examples of these are self-driving vehicles, which have to decide whom to save in an accident. The solutions to such moral dilemmas remain unresolved.

  • Spreading Misinformation

AI makes creating fake content easy, which is extremely dangerous due to a myriad of reasons. Deepfake videos and AI-generated images look real and spread false information. These pictures are often used in a malicious manner and can be seriously detrimental to an individual’s mental health and place in society.

  • Dependence on AI

As we rely more on AI, we risk losing essential skills. Navigation apps make us bad at reading maps. Autocorrect affects our spelling abilities. Over-dependence on AI could make us less capable humans, and this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Finding a Balance

  • Regulating AI Development

Governments and organisations must set rules for AI use. Regulations can prevent misuse and protect privacy. Transparency in AI algorithms is crucial. People should understand how decisions are made.

  • Promoting Ethical AI

Developers should focus on ethical AI by removing bias and ensuring fairness. Diverse teams can help create unbiased systems. Regular audits can catch issues early.

  • Preparing for Job Shifts

Workers need support to adapt to AI changes. This includes retraining programmes and education in new skills. Governments and companies should invest in creating AI-proof jobs.

  • Raising Awareness

People must understand AI’s pros and cons. Awareness campaigns can educate the public. When people know the risks, they can make informed decisions and demand better policies.

Keeping everything in mind, it can be concluded that yes, AI is both a hero and a villain. It saves lives, boosts efficiency, and helps fight global issues. But it also threatens jobs, privacy, and trust. Therefore, to harness its power, we must act responsibly, balancing innovation with regulation, and shaping a future where AI benefits everyone.

South Korea Investigators Ask Police to Arrest Yoon

South Korea Investigators Ask Police to Arrest Yoon

South Korean investigators are intensifying their efforts to arrest impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol after he defied attempts to bring him into custody over his failed martial law bid. Investigators from the Corruption Investigation Office (CIO) have asked the police to take over due to the difficulties in executing the arrest. “The validity of the warrant expires today. We plan to request an extension from the court today,” CIO deputy director Lee Jae-Seung stated. Despite these efforts, the police have yet to accept the request.

Yoon’s legal team has repeatedly refuted the CIO’s authority to arrest him, claiming that the warrant is “unlawful” and “illegal.” His lawyers pledged to take further legal action against the warrant. Meanwhile, Yoon’s supporters have remained defiant, with his presidential security service vowing to protect him. “The Presidential Security Service will protect the President, and we will protect the Presidential Security Service till midnight,” said Kim Soo-yong, one of the protest organizers.

Authorities initially issued the warrant after Yoon refused to emerge for questioning regarding his martial law decree. The investigation stems from allegations that Yoon suspended civilian rule, plunging South Korea into its worst political crisis in decades. If convicted, Yoon could face prison or even the death penalty for insurrection. The ongoing political unrest has sparked protests in the streets.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Seoul for talks. However, his focus shifted when North Korea launched a missile just before the press conference. Meanwhile, South Korea’s Constitutional Court has set January 14 as the start of Yoon’s impeachment trial, which may continue without his presence if he does not attend. The trial could determine whether Yoon’s powers will be restored or whether he will be dismissed.

Karachi to Experience Chillier Weather with Mercury at 7-9°C

Karachi to Experience Chillier Weather with Mercury at 7-9°C

Karachi is experiencing a cold wave as the mercury dropped to 9°C. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts temperatures to fall further to 7-9°C within the next 24 hours. Winds are blowing at 5 km/h from the northeast, with a humidity level of 63%.

The PMD attributed Karachi’s chill to the shuddering cold in Quetta, where the temperature plummeted to -7°C. The mountainous regions of Balochistan also faced extreme cold, with Kalat recording -10°C and Ziarat -9°C.

Adding to the cold spell, Karachi received its first winter rain on January 4, with light showers reported in various areas. The PMD earlier warned that the westerly winds causing the wet spell could intensify the prevailing cold conditions.

While most districts of Balochistan are expected to remain cold and dry, the weather in the province’s mountainous areas is likely to be extremely cold. Karachiites are advised to brace for more chilly days ahead.

Social Media is Convinced Zendaya and Tom Holland are Engaged

Dune star Zendaya and Spiderman star Tom Holland have been dating for quite some years now. In 2023, Zendaya sparked rumours that she and Holland were engaged; however, she was quick to shut down the reports.

Now, once again, Zendaya has caused a stir among the public after the actress was seen wearing a ring on that finger during the Golden Globes.

Adding fuel to the fire, a video went viral from the awards where the actress can be seen flaunting her ring, showing it off to someone who approached the table.

One fan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their excitement, “Well, congratulations to Zendaya and Tom on the engagement, I think??” posting the images of the dazzling ring alongside.

The Look

Zendaya was nominated for the Best Actress in Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy category for her performance in Challengers. The actress rocked a custom-made burnt orange Louis Vuitton gown. She paired it with a Bulgari diamond necklace and an array of diamond rings on both hands.

However, despite all the jewellery, fans were quick to notice that a particular ring stood out. This beautiful piece had a gold band and was nothing like the rest of the jewelry she wore.

While neither Holland nor Zendaya have confirmed the engagement, their relationship remains a point of interest for many. This has a lot to do with the couple’s unmatched compatibility and love that they frequently express publicly.

Whether the engagement rumours are true or not, only time will tell. For now, fans can revel in the excitement that their favourite couple might just be on its way to give them big news.

Blizzard Unleashes Havoc Across the US: Millions Affected

Blizzard Unleashes Havoc Across the US: Millions Affected

A huge winter storm is relentlessly crossing America, bringing a swat of hazardous snow and ice. Unbearable amounts of snow and freezing rain are causing activities to come to a standstill while the weather remains dangerous outside. The storm stretches more than 2400 km across Kansas and the East Coast, affecting millions and causing havoc for flights, conveyance, and daily living.

Blizzard Warnings and Hazardous Conditions

The National Weather Service (NWS) has announced a blizzard warning for Kansas and Missouri, extending winter storm and ice warnings straight to Washington, D.C. Early Sunday, Kansas began experiencing freezing rain, sleet, and snow. However, the worst is yet to come as forecasters expect heavy snow and wind gusts of more than 64 km/h before it all ends.

Kansas could see over 15 inches of snow, the heaviest in a decade, making roads nearly impossible to drive on. Snow in Northeast Missouri to the Central Appalachians is expected to get 8 to 14 inches. Washington, D.C., will brace for up to 10 inches of overnight snow by Monday.

Airports and Travel Disruptions

Travel has already been severely impacted. Kansas City International Airport shut down operations on Saturday, resuming later after treating runways. With wind chills plunging temperatures to as low as -18°C, the storm is expected to cause delays and cancellations at airports from Kansas to New Jersey.

Dangerous Freezing Rain and Ice

One of the storm’s biggest threats is the mix of freezing rain and sleet from Kansas to Kentucky and Virginia. Thick ice is likely going to form on roads, making driving extremely dangerous. It’s just one of the many effects that the weather is forecasted to have, along with knocking down trees and power lines. This will possibly leave millions in the dark when the freezing temperatures set in.

Communities Still Recovering

This storm now brings a unique danger to the Appalachian landscapes. Areas within Kentucky and the neighbouring states are still recovering from a horrible hurricane that struck in September of last year. Now, they are braving yet another onslaught of extreme weather. Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky is asking the people to avoid unnecessary travel and be prepared.

Waiter Arrested in Connection with Liam Payne’s Death

Waiter Arrested in Connection with Liam Payne’s Death

A waiter implicated in the death of pop star Liam Payne has been taken into custody, according to reports from Argentinian media. Braian Paiz, 24, is among five individuals charged in connection with Payne’s death on Monday, December 30, and was summoned to appear in court.

The 31-year-old singer passed away on October 16,2024, after falling from the third-floor balcony of his room at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. Paiz, along with hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra, faces charges of supplying drugs on two occasions, an offense that carries a maximum sentence of 15 years.

In an interview with a local news channel, Paiz admitted to using drugs, including cocaine, with Payne but maintained that he neither supplied the drugs nor accepted money for them.

Argentinian media outlets, as cited by Sky News, reported that Paiz was arrested at his residence in Ingeniero Budge on Friday, January 3. Additionally, police reportedly raided the home of Pereyra, 21, but he was not found at the location.

Paiz’s lawyer, Fernando Madeo Facente, earlier told the BBC that he advised his client not to surrender following the charges. Facente argued that Paiz did not pose a flight risk, had not obstructed the investigation, and therefore pre-trial detention was unwarranted.

Among others charged is Argentinian businessman Rogelio Nores, also known as “Roger.” Nores has stated that he left the CasaSur hotel 40 minutes before Payne’s death and has denied any involvement in the incident.

Earlier, Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja confirmed that Pakistan is in negotiations with Elon Musk’s Starlink to bring satellite internet services to the country. She discussed the ongoing talks during a heated parliamentary session on Friday, acknowledging Pakistan’s internet infrastructure challenges while stating that the government is committed to improving internet services despite recent disruptions, including the ban on X, which she said affects less than two percent of the population.

Starlink’s previous attempts to enter the market have been delayed due to regulatory hurdles, particularly concerns over interference with Pakistan’s geostationary satellite, PakSAT-MM1.

World’s Oldest Person, Tomiko Itooka, Dies at 116

World’s Oldest Person, Tomiko Itooka, Dies at 116

The world’s oldest person, Japanese woman Tomiko Itooka, has died at the age of 116, the city of Ashiya where she lived announced on Saturday. Itooka, who had four children and five grandchildren, died on December 29 at a nursing home where she resided since 2019, the southern city’s mayor said in a statement.

She was born on May 23, 1908 in the commercial hub of Osaka, near Ashiya – four months before the Ford Model T automobile was launched in the United States. Itooka was recognised as the oldest person in the world after the August 2024 death of Spain’s Maria Branyas Morera at age 117.

“Ms Itooka gave us courage and hope through her long life,” Ashiya’s 27-year-old mayor Ryosuke Takashima said in the statement. “We thank her for it.” Itooka, who was one of three siblings, lived through world wars and pandemics as well as technological breakthroughs.

As a student, she played volleyball. In her older age, Itooka enjoyed bananas and Calpis, a milky soft drink popular in Japan, according to the mayor’s statement.

Women typically enjoy longevity in Japan, but the country is facing a worsening demographic crisis as its expanding elderly population leads to soaring medical and welfare costs, with a shrinking labour force to pay for it. As of September, Japan counted more than 95,000 people who were 100 or older – 88 percent of whom were women. Of the country’s 124 million people, nearly a third are 65 or older.

After Itooka’s death, the world’s oldest person is now 116-year-old Brazilian nun Inah Canabarro Lucas, who was born on June 8, 1908, according to the US Gerontological Research Group and LongeviQuest.

PCB Sends Saim Ayub to London for Urgent Medical Treatment

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced on Sunday that star batter Saim Ayub will be flown to London for immediate medical treatment following consultations with top medical experts.

The move aims to ensure a thorough diagnosis and effective treatment of Ayub’s injury. Naqvi personally contacted Ayub to check on his condition and extended his heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery.

He expressed the importance of providing necessary care, emphasising that Ayub will be examined by renowned orthopaedic specialists in London. An appointment has already been arranged at one of the leading hospitals to ensure the best possible treatment for the young cricketer.

Dr Mamreze, who has been overseeing the left-handed batter’s treatment in Pakistan, sent the cricketer’s medical reports to London for further evaluation. Naqvi praised his dedication and reiterated that the PCB would provide all the necessary resources to support Ayub’s recovery.

“Saim Ayub is a stylish and outstanding batter, and an asset to Pakistan cricket,” Naqvi said. “We are doing everything possible to ensure his full recovery. He will be sent on the next available flight from Cape Town to London, with Assistant Coach Azhar Mahmood accompanying him to ensure his well-being,” he added.

The injury occurred during fielding on the opening day of the second men’s cricket Test against South Africa at Newlands on Friday. While attempting to retrieve the ball, Ayub lost his balance and stumbled backward, resulting in the injury.

An MRI conducted on Friday afternoon confirmed the fracture, leading to his ankle being immobilised with a medical moon boot. As a result, he has been sidelined from cricket for at least six weeks.

Despite the setback, Naqvi expressed optimism that the opening batter would recover in time for the upcoming Champions Trophy in Pakistan. “The PCB will spare no effort in utilising all necessary resources to aid in his treatment and rehabilitation,” Naqvi assured.
