Nissan-X-Trail

Nissan X-Trail gets a global update with the introduction of new stylish elements and features! The company released official pictures of the updated X-Trail, which is to hit the roads in August 2017.

The current gen X-Trail has been on sale internationally since 2014. Nissan says that the X-Trail Hybrid might make its way to India this year.

The Nissan X-Trail is one of the company’s largest selling SUVs which is available in both 5 and 7-seater options. The SUV also became one of the highest selling models in the world in 2016, selling over  766,000 units during the fiscal year.

Under the Hood

The engine remains the same, The SUV is equipped with a 1.6-litre diesel engine with 128bhp, a 2.0-litre diesel with 175bhp and a 1.6-litre petrol unit with 161bhp. It also comes with an automatic gearbox which can be optioned for in place of the standard six-speed manual and four-wheel drive.

New Design & New Features

 

What really has changed for the X-Trail is its new ‘V-Motion’ grille up front which is slightly wider and gets a new glossy black finish. The headlamp cluster gets a new design as well. They now get a re-designed version of Nissan’s signature boomerang-shaped LED DRLs.

Also, the bulbs in the headlamps now get Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) for the very first time. The fog lamps have also become rectangular. The earlier models had circular fog lamps. The Nissan X-Trail also comes in 4 new colour variants, including Orange Pearl, Red Pearl, Blue Pearl Metallic and Dark Brown Pearl.

According to DriversPark, the side profile has received few changes as well with a chrome side moulding along with the new 17-inch and 18-inch wheels available in different variants.

Nissan has updated with a new LED taillamps and chrome strip above the license plate housing. Among the features, the Nissan X-Trail has been updated with an electric tailgate with the motion sensor that just requires foot movement under the bumper to open and close.

Interior

On the inside, the Nissan X-Trail SUV Cabin has received new features like a flat-bottomed steering wheel, Bose audio system on the top trim, ventilated seats for front and rear passengers, DAB digital radio among others.
