The campaign is till date, Nike’s biggest initiative till date in the cause for motivating and supporting women’s journey in athletics.

Take a look at the commercial here:

The commercial touches an emotional subject of insecurities among women by depicting the dialogues of a woman with her inner self.

These include a woman being unsure of her surroundings in a yoga class, a runner during a half marathon and a woman through spin class stuck behind a queue of models.

This campaign encourages women to hush up the sneaky little voice that always springs up insecurities in them by telling them ‘I can’t do it’.LSCW1The description in the video reads: “Don’t let you stop you,” “If you’ve got the drive to get better, Nike Women has the tools and gear to help you do it.” LSCW2This is something new for Nike too as its usual campaigns focus on athletes who are already at the top of their game. This campaign focuses on the everyday woman and to challenge and push herself towards her goals even if they are at the very start of their fitness journey and far out of their comfort zone. LSCW3

Nike has taken a light and fun approach this time around. The positioning for women and for this particular line of products is something less aggressive than the past campaigns being lead through “Just Do It” slogan.

Nike has also pumped up the social media alongside its newest TV ads, encouraging women to use the #BetterForIt hashtag to share their experiences. Also an app named “90-day better for it challenge” has been launched which sports different workouts from Nike and Training club.
