This Eid-ul-Azha brought the biggest blockbusters in the Pakistani film industry for the year, Na Maloom Afraad 2 was loved and appreciated by all. The slapstick comedy film had everyone rolling over with laughter in the cinemas.
The trio, Fahad Mustafa, Javed Shaikh and Mohsin Abbas Haider were at it again after the success of Na Maloom Afraad, and we just couldn’t get enough of them!
With raving reviews, there are still a few who believed there were slight issues on what was portrayed in the film. Junaid Akram, the standup comedian raised his concerns about how a wedding dress and the gold toilet pot could weigh the same.
According to Namaloom Afraad script, a box containing gold toilet pot and a box containing a wedding dress weigh the same. Logic.

However, the director of the Na Maloom Afraad 2, Nabeel Qureshi responded well to the comedian and set things straight! Little did Akram know that a proper research had been conducted before putting this part in the film.
Its well researched, an avg wedding dress weigh 10kg, hence designers dress are more than 20kg sometimes, u can check with ramp models 🙂 https://t.co/r7nDghurc0

To be honest, Qureshi is right, desi wedding dresses are extremely heavy and can easily weigh more than 20kg. Sometimes the ‘dupatta’ itself seems to be about 10 kgs.
Apart from Nabeel, there were many others who believed this was spot on!
Media person, Rabia Anum had this to say:
Wedding lehngas and dopattas are so heavy you cant carry them alone 😂

My wife walima lehnga was easily 15kg! So definitely well researched!

We do agree, in the quest to criticise sometimes we tend to forget that movies are supposed to entertain! When the movie fulfills its purpose, why not appreciate the efforts made by movie makers?
It’s just high time you start judging things for the purpose they’re supposed to serve rather than going overboard with criticism.
