Microsoft has announced the availability of Windows 10 from July 29th, 2015. The much-anticipated update will be a fantastic saving for Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 users.

According to Microsoft, you’ll be able either to download Windows 10 or buy a new Windows 10 PC from retailers.  Windows users can also register for the update through a reservation link that Microsoft is promoting via its most recent updates to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

Users can sign up to preload the software just as soon as it’s ready.

Microsoft promises that upgrades will be free for the “supported lifespan” of the device although it hasn’t explained what that phrase actually means.
