meera

Meera is under the line of fire again as arrest warrants have been issued on Friday for the Lollywood actress by a civil judge. This action took place as a result of an application filed by her self-proclaimed husband, Atiqqur Rehman.

Rahman claims that Meera had married another guy before actually legally divorcing him first. He has requested the court to register an FIR against her under the relevant provision of the law.

The judge has ordered Defence-A police to bring Meera before the court on the next date of hearing.

In an exclusive interview with The Express Tribune, Meera has retaliated to this new in these words, “If the high court has sent notices, I don’t know about that. Moreover, my lawyer Ali Sibtain doesn’t know about it. What the news is about? Tell me. No notice has been issued.”

Additionally, in regards to the arrest warrant that has been issued, she has claimed to be unaware of any such news stating this, “I have no idea about it. He has been blackmailing me for the past five years. He is a blackmailer, who demanded I hand him over Rs3 crore. He should be sentenced instead. This must be another tactic of his to get fame. Also, he is getting wrong publicity.”

Undoubtedly, there have been other times in the past when this man has filed applications against the actress and they have been repeatedly dismissed.
