Opening a restaurant in Sedona, Arizona couldn’t have been more difficult for McDonald’s.

The new McDonald’s franchise which has recently been opened in this desert is not like any other regular franchise; with a turquoise blue sign instead of McDonald’s signatory yellow one accompanying the orange and red brick work,it allows the restaurant’s exterior to blend in with the picturesque view of Sedona, Arizona.

According to the franchise owner, the city’s strict regulations prevent buildings from destroying the picturesque view of the desert, which is the reason why this international fast food franchise has to use a turquoise blue McDonald’s sign instead of a bright yellow one, which according to city officials was too garish to blend in with the surroundings.

The surprising fact over here is that this is not the first McDonald’s franchise to have a different outlook; there are 30,000 more such outlets of McDonald’s all around the world that holds quite a different look, have a look at some of them:

McDonald’s franchise in Taupo, New Zealand has a DC-3 plane parked right next to the restaurant and the interior of which has been redesigned for a comfortable dinning in experience.

A McDonald’s franchise holding the food chain’s classic 1950’s look is still present in Downey, California.

Another differentiated look is of Clifton Hill, Melbourne’s McDonald’s franchise having a retro look and neon lighted interior.

There’s another McDonald’s franchise that has been built in an old Georgian style mansion situated in Hyde Park, New York.

One of the most interesting of all the unusual  McDonald’s outlets is one situated in Yangshao China, which surrounded by rivers and mountains provides an aesthetically pleasing and soothing experience to customers

There may be more unusual looking restaurants out there, but so far the  McDonald’s franchises are the best we have come across.

Don’t forget to share with us if you find any such strange franchises out there.
