Undoubtedly, Maya Ali has conquered the realm of Pakistani television! Her blockbuster dramas like “Aun Zara”, “Ek Thi Cinderella”, “Shanakht” and “Mera Naam Yousuf Hai” were loved by the audience and even created an uproar in India. Currently, the bubbly beauty is all set to prove her mettle on the big screen with “Teefa in Trouble”, starring the ultimate rockstar “Ali Zafar”.
While she boasts so many power-packed performances in her portfolio, Ali was bound to reap offers from B-town. Many might not know this, but Maya got an offer to star with Akshay Kumar in Rustom and an upcoming movie “Ikka”.
Speaking to Instep, the actress spilled the beans about getting offers from India.
“I love my country and the only reason I was offered movies in India was because I was already working extensively in Pakistan”
However, she revealed that she has no regrets that they did not happen.
“I didn’t feel bad when they didn’t happen. At this point of time, I want to stay here, in Pakistan and earn enough love and acceptability by my own people. That’s what matters to me the most”
Last year, the starlet flew to India to discuss her Bollywood deal. However, it appears that she had certain reservations with the wardrobe in the flick:
“I have some issues regarding wardrobe. Until those issues are sorted out, I won’t say yes to them.”
Seems like it never worked out. The fact remains that Maya Ali has a plethora of opportunities in her own nation and already, she has bagged her big break on Pakistan’s silver screen with singer turned actor, Ali Zafar.
The best part is she has already smitten her hero with her talent and persona:
“I find Maya to be a very talented and hard-working actress. She is beautiful and I believe her potential as an actor hasn’t yet been explored fully”
The duo has kickstarted the shooting for Teefa in Trouble, being directed by Ahsan Rahim.
“I guarantee you that you’ll experience all the emotions, be it drama, romance, comedy or action”
Can’t wait to see Ali Zafar’s and Maya Ali’s first look in the movie.
