Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Yousaf and Saqlain Mushtaq were gobbled up at the Masters Champions League (MCL) auction closeout on Monday. The MCL League has given an exceptional chance to the retired cricket players to show their actions in the field.
The three formers test stars joined Azhar Mahmood, Taufeeq Umar, Hasan Raza, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Saleem Elahi, Mushtaq Ahmed, Humayun Farhat and Yasir Hameed in the first of its kind league in the UAE.

It is pertinent to know that MCL League will carry six teams under which 90 players will take part in the matches. The matches will be held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah from 28 February and will last till 14 next year.
Further information regarding the league revealed that Shoaib Akhtar on Saturday withdrew his name from the league, whereas Wasim Akram who was supposed to become the icon player of the team also backed off from the tournament after being named as an ambassador of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), scheduled to run on Feb 4-23.

MCL chairman Zafar Shah, while enclosing his remarks about the Champions League said, “The Masters Champions League is going to be every cricket lover’s dream come true. It’s a tournament, which will boast extraordinary players of impeccable class and history and give fans another chance to see the greats of the recent past.”
