The Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) makes it to the top 300 Business schools in the world. The rankings have been determined by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2017.

It is surely a proud moment for Pakistan to have SDSB stand amongst the top business schools in the globe. The Business School has been recognized under the category of “Business and Management Studies.”

QS rankings are compiled every year to help students select the leading universities and institutes for each subject. The research citations, results of global surveys and academics are the criteria on which the rankings are determined.

Jawad Syed, Ph.D., Dean and Professor of Organisational Behaviour, SDSB mentioned,

“This is a major achievement and the credit for this goes to all faculty members, in particular to those colleagues who excel in research, teaching and service. Clearly the research initiatives at SDSB pioneered and led by Dr. Shaukat Brah, Dr. Arif Butt, Dr. Junaid Ashraf, Dr. Kamran Ali Chatha and Dr. Saad Azmat are paying dividends.”

This feat is not new for LUMS as it was also ranked the number 1 university in Pakistan and 111th in Asia, according to the QS University Rankings Asia last year.
