Laraib Atta, daughter of the renowned Sufi singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, becomes the first Pakistan to get nominated in Visual Effects Society Awards 2019.

Laraib Atta was nominated for the category of ‘Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal Episode’for TV Show “Altered Carbon”, in which she is working as one of the visual effects artists.

Laraib Atta shared this news on Instagram and she sounded overwhelmed for this achievement.

The 17th Visual Effects Society Awards was held on 5th February 2019. However, “Lost in Space” won the award in this category but it’s still a great achievement for Laraib Atta and we are super proud of her.

She was nominated alongside some of the famous visual effects artists from around the world.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) is a global professional honorary society and the entertainment industry’s only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects practitioners including artists, technologists, model markers, educators, studio executives, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists, and producers.

VES’ over 3,700 members in more than 35 countries worldwide contribute to all areas of entertainment – film, television, commercials, animation, music videos, games, and new media.
