The highly anticipated Pakistani movie Lahore Se Aagay hit the cinema screens this Friday in all its fervor and glory. However, seems like the movie failed to deliver what it promised as LSA couldn’t reap in the numbers that were expected! According to the first-weekend box office report, Lahore Se Aagay managed to reap 3.75 crores as opposed to the capacity of approximately 9 crores.

Even though LSA beat the weekend numbers of the prequel Karachi Se Lahore, it must be noted that Karachi Se Lahore had half the number of showcases as compared to Lahore Se Aagay.

According to Box office detail.com, the film roped in around 3.75 crores over the first weekend while 9 crore was the average expectancy- this depicts a below average occupancy of 40%.

The movie opened to 1.2 crores (45lacs) on Friday but by Sunday, the numbers had fallen drastically in Islamabad and Lahore.  As compared to Lahore, the movie performed exceptionally well in Karachi.

The average occupancy in Lahore was merely 30% to 40% at major multiplexes such as Cinepax, Super Cinema, Cinestar. Smaller cinemas, on the other hand, witness 15%to 20% average occupants.

The overall daily business of the movie Lahore Se Aagay over the first weekend:

  • Friday: 1.21cr (45lacs)
  • Saturday: 1.35cr (80lacs)
  • Sunday: 1.15cr (75lacs)
  • Total: 3.75cr (2cr)

The numbers reveal that Lahore Se Aagay had an average trend over the Weekend and will find it hard to compete in the long run- box office numbers are likely to further fall down today. Monday.

Will the movie pick up pace in the coming weeks or will the numbers hit another hard low? Let’s wait and see how the movie fares at the box office in the coming weeks.
