Update:

Temperature in Karachi is now expected to drop to 13-15 degrees Celsius today (Saturday) after a cold spell hit the City of Lights as well as other areas of Sindh.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), mercury had drastically faleen by 8 degrees to 15 degrees Celsius in the port city on Friday.


PMD in their latest forecast has shared that Karachiites may witness a drop in temperature to 20 degrees over the next 2 days.

PMD also added that cold winds and chill in the air will also take over the metropolis. This change in the weather is influenced by rainfall in the northern areas of Pakistan.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz, has shared that the lowest temperature ever recorded in Karachi during the month of November is 16 degrees Celsius.

Over the next few days, the temperature is expected to stay between 23-24 degrees Celcius.

In regards to Cyclone Maha, the chief shared that it has weakened and is now 555km from Karachi on Wednesday, and is expected to hit the gulf of Mumbai near Indian Gujarat, he added.
