Good News for the citizen of Karachi as a track of Karachi’s MA Jinnah Road from Gurumandir to Numaish Chowrangi will be opened for traffic from December 20, 2019.

This is expected to bring a huge relief to citizens as the closure of the road had adversely affected the traffic situation in the city.

The carpeting of the track on Shara-e-Quaideen adjacent to Numaish Chowrangi has been completed. While the construction of the adjacent track is still underway. Both tracks will be opened next week for regular traffic, according to sources.

Following the opening of these main tracks adjoin MA Jinnah Road, the flow of traffic on Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung Road and Corridor III (the road between Empress Market and Malir) will reduce and overall traffic flow will become better

As per the sources by February 2020, the construction of all roads leading from the Numaish intersection of MA Jinnah Road will be completed except the Numaish Chowrangi underpass, which is scheduled to be completed by May 2020.

Meanwhile, the opening of two underpasses on Shaheed-e-Millat road will also reduce the traffic influx from the connecting areas of Sadar, Garden, and Gurumandir.

Karachi is a metropolitan city and desperately require the betterment in infrastructure. Just last month a section of Club Road at Metropolitan had a huge sinkhole due to water retention after the recent rains in the city.
