Kapoor and Sons wooed audiences globally and was a blockbuster movie having a stellar star cast that included the sizzling Alia Bhatt, popular actor Sidharth Malhotra and global heartthrob Fawad Khan.
The movie released last year won hearts of critics and has numerous awards to its name.
Rumors of a sequel to the superhit movie are floating around B-Town and one cannot help but wonder if Fawad Khan would be joining the rumored lovebirds Alia and Sidharth for the second film.
Reported by Indian publication DNA, the Dear Zindagi actress and Sidharth are excited about working in Shakun Batra directed and Karan Johar produced Kapoor and Sons 2. The source mentions, “Even though the duo have not yet signed the film on dotted line, but they have heard the script and liked it and said yes to being part of it.”
The same source further added, “It’s a breezy film and will not take more than 40 days of shoot. Shakun will do the recce next week and zero in on the location.”
Although there has been no mention of Fawad Khan by the source, various Bollywood websites have published a similar news and have reported that the filmmakers are eager to rope in Fawad in part 2 of the movie.
However, the ban of Pakistani artists in Bollywood by extremist political parties in India will not allow FK to be part of the sequel.
