Japan

Pakistan and Japan have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC).

The MoC enables Pakistani citizens to get work permits in Japan in 14 new sectors to overcome their labor shortage over the next 3 years.

The documents were signed between Secretary of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis Amir Hassan and Japanese ambassador.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Advisor for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari shared that this new step both countries have taken will open new windows and opportunities.

Given that 65% of Pakistan’s population is under the age of 35, this will allow skilled workers and youngsters to get employment.

The Japanese Ambassador shared that the MoC will boost public relations and added that Japan will help improve tourism in Pakistan as well.
