One of the most hyped weddings of the year has just begun on the eve of December 25th.
Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain kick-started their matrimonial celebrations with a colorful mayoun ceremony that took place on Monday night.
They celebrated the occasion with desi rituals by applying ubtan on each other faces. The lovebirds, who will tie the knot on December 28, and we’re all eager to see the pictures and the videos of the duo.
Although, we would like to point out that the bride to be Iqra Aziz donned in a beautiful simple yet traditional lime-yellow ensemble at her mayoun.
Yasir Hussain, on the other hand, looked dapper in a simple white kurta. He introduced their wedding hashtag as well which is #iqyasirdaviyah.
The bride also wore very cute hip khussas at the event and we’re digging them. The khussas read “patakha bride.” and were custom made for Iqra Aziz by Soma.
Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain have been in the news since the duo shocked fans and friends at the 2019 Lux Style Awards with their public proposal. They have now officially kick-started their highly-anticipated wedding festivities.
Last week, Iqra posted the innovative, cute and hilarious wedding invitation card on her Instagram. Showing an adorable illustration of the two love birds, the card goes onto say, “Khadim sahab ka larka Yasir – Khadim sahab’s son, Yasir, Der aya, durust aya – slowly but surely made it.”
They ended off the card with a very clever note saying, “Gifts ki zarurat nahi, salaami mashwaray ki tarhan den (dil khol ke) – No need to bring gifts, just give us salaami like you give us advice,” indirectly addressing their critics pretending to be the well-wishers.
