We recently saw Ali Zafar hosting the Star Box Office Awards in India and now continuing the trend is Imran Abbass, hosting the viewer driven, Big STAR Entertainment Awards. The fifth edition of the award show was hosted by the Pakistani actor and Sunil Grover, of the Comedy Nights with Kapil fame.
The Big STAR Entertainment Awards acknowledge the best of performances for the year in music, television, movies, theatre, dance and sports. From the selection of nominees to the final winners, all choces are made by the audiences. This year’s award show was lit up by the duo performances of Salman Khan with Jacqueline Fernandes and Arjun Kapoor with Sonakshi Sinha.
This is the first time that these awards are hosted with a Pakistani and Indian actor together. While speaking at the awards, Tarun Katial, CEO of Reliance Broadcast Network, said, “The awards and our partnership with Star Plus have matured wonderfully and we are happy to once again bring together a congregation of the finest entertainers from across industries.” The award show will premiere on TV tonight at Star Plus at 10 pm (GMT+5:30).
Imran Abbass recently debuted in Bollywood with the sizzling Bipasha Basu in the movie Creature 3D. He will be next seen with Pernia Qureshi in Muzaffar Ali’s Raqs.
