IBA Karachi’s Womenx (an initiative by the World Bank) Entrepreneurship Program received the honor of being the 2017 Outstanding Specialty Entrepreneurship Program by the United Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE).
The award is a big feat for the Pakistani University as it is the first time in the history of the USABE award that any university outside of the USA has won it.
The ceremony was held on the 21st of January in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was attended by Dr. Shahid Qureshi who is the program director for AMAN CED. Dr.Qureshi accepted the award on behalf of IBA.

IBA Karachi was amongst the top ranked universities in the world that were competing, the two finalists were Meadows School of Arts from Southern Methodist University and WIN Lab from Babson College.
USABE’s criteria for this coveted award is based on the development of an innovative program by the university that is working towards the education and training of the next generation of entrepreneurs from a specialty area. Every year the award is won by the program which promises quality, innovation, quality and has an impact.
