Hyundai Santa Fe

Hyundai-Nishat has set up a display at Emporium Mall Johar Town Lahore. One of the vehicles present was the Hyundai Santa Fe.

In no time, pictures of the car started to go viral on social media. Previously, Hyundai’s launch plan revealed that the manufacturer will kick-start operations in Pakistan with their H100 1-ton commercial pickup, followed by Tucson SUV, Kona Crossover and Elantra sedan.

Now that the Hyundai Santa Fe is also in the picture, there is a possibility that it will be offered as a premium CBU option similar to what KIA did with the Grand Carnival Luxury MPV.

It is expected that Hyundai will launch its first two vehicles this weekend (Saturday) in Lahore, and the Santa Fe will be one of them. It is also expected that the brand will launch Pakistan’s first digital store with 3D technology for exceptional customer experiences.

Hyundai-Nishat Cars Launch Plan in Pakistan

Under the Hood

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a 4th gen mid-sized SUV. It comes equipped with two engine variants, drivers can choose between the 185 hp 2.0 liter GDi petrol, a 232hp 2.4-liter turbocharged petrol, and 200hp 2.2-liter CRDI diesel engine. Both options come with 8-speed automatic transmission as standard.

Design

The 2019 Santa Fe’s profile looks more upright than the outgoing Santa Fe Sport’s, with a windshield that’s not as raked. It looks more like an SUV with thin front roof pillars and side mirrors mounted on the front doors that help give the Santa Fe great forward views.

Hyundai also flattened out the SUV’s beltline, increasing visibility for rear passengers and providing better over-shoulder views for the driver. The Santa Fe’s front end is, without question, the most polarizing aspect of the design.
