We were awaiting Huawei to reveal something about their new Smartphone, P10, at the Mobile Wold Congress 2017 event, which is just a couple days ahead. However, the company took us by surprise when they shared a video giving away the phone’s first-look.

The trailer surfaced on YouTube titled “#HuaweiP10 is coming!”, the company is giving the first look at the company’s next flagship and by using clues and hints, the phone will have a dual-camera system (according to us after watching the video below).

Here’s a sneak peak at what to expect with Huawei P10!

Expected Specifications & Features

Here’s what we expect the phone to have, according to TechRadar:

  • A 5.5-inch screen
  • A QHD resolution
  • A curved screen
  • 6GB of RAM
  • A powerful Kirin 960 chipset
  • Up to 256GB of storage
  • An all metal body
  • A fingerprint scanner on the front
  • A redesigned antenna band

The screen is one of the few ways in which the Huawei P9 doesn’t quite feel like a flagship, as it has a 1080 x 1920 display, where many high-end phones now have QHD ones.

But it looks like the Huawei P10 could be falling in line with rivals, as a leaked benchmark points to a 1440 x 2560 screen. It could also be set to grow, from 5.2 inches on the P9 to 5.5 inches, if the benchmark is accurate.

One leaker also reckons the Huawei P10 will have a curved screen, much like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, or the company’s own Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design.

Colors

Evan Blass has a theory that the Huawei P10 will be available in these three variants:

On the other hand, another source has also claimed the Huawei P10 colors will be quite bright compared to the Huawei P9. Weibo account @ichangezone has said the Huawei P10 will come in gold, pink, black, green and purple.

Leaked Image

This image of the Huawei P10 Plus is breaking the internet, it is being expected that it will look like this:

Whereas GSM Arena has speculated the P10 differently. According to the source, the display will be 5.2-in and will look something like this:

According to them, the P10 will look similarly to the Huawei P9 but with the fingerprint sensor mounted on the front. The back is metal, with antenna bands following its edges. The dual-camera setup is horizontal and once again, made in cooperation with Leica. The volume button and the power key are on the right side of the device, while the left is reserved for the SIM/microSD slot.

Huawei P10 is completely stripped by the FCC and we can see what’s inside the unibody of the phone. There is a dual SIM slot, one of which can be used for memory expansion. There’s also the motherboard of the phone. The image isn’t the best quality but we know the SoC is Huawei’s own Kirin 960.

Estimated Price

Our guess is that the Huawei P10 will cost around $500 (£400, AU$650) for the cheapest version and $680 (£545, AU$885) for the most expensive storage size. Whereas TechRadar’s assumes that it will be pricier than the P9, but it would be surprising if the price exceeded $650/£550/AU$900 – a price which would likely put it in line with rivals.
