Sorry folks! Google is going to trash your Android backups if you do not use your smartphone every 60 days.

Yes, you read that right, after two months, your backup data will automatically vanish.

According to TechJuice, Google Drive will display the date on which your data will expire below the backup.

Also, this comes as a surprise that you can’t retrieve the data in any way once deleted! The only way to save your device is to make a backup and use it every 60 days.

Google support/help page states; “Your backup will remain as long as you use your device. If you don’t use your device for 2 weeks, you may see an expiration date below your backup, for example, expires in 54 days.”

Smart decision or really dumb, only time will tell!
