It’s time for the fashion mavens of Karachi to indulge in the fast paced energetic fashion brigade with the 10th edition of the Fashion Pakistan Week 2016 which is just around the corner. The three- day event is to be held on the 7th, 8th and 9th April 2016 at Pearl Continental, Karachi.
It’s great to see FPW celebrating every season of the trendiest fashions in its true spirit. This time around, one can expect to see a number of eminent designers showcasing their collections.While we all are ready and excited to witness the whirlwind of the fashion week, here are a few things one can expect from the extravagant three-day fashion event.

1. Designers Line- Up
Designers provide ample fodder to our hungry fashion souls and display a high level of ingenuity via their trendiest collections. FPW never fails to play the host to a bevy of Karachi-based designers providing them with a great opportunity to showcase their work. There is a whole round of veteran ace designers participating in the 10th edition of the fashion week:
Zaheer Abbas, Ayesha Farooq Hashwani, Natasha Kamal, Shamael Ansari, Sonya Batla, Amna Aqeel, Nauman Afreen, Deepak Perwani, Wardha Saleem, Huma Adnan, Amir Adnan, Zainab Salman, Nida Azwer are some of the prominent names of the fashion fraternity.
2. Retail Therapy
In addition to the list of ace designers, a slew of retail brands is also going to take part in the fashion week. From Gul Ahmed to Kayseria and Jafferjees to Generation, numerous retail brands are showcasing their spring/summer collections at FPW 2016.
3. Dolled Up Models
While it’s true that fashion designers remain the center of the attention, we must not forget our gorgeous models, who help designers in showcasing their designs just perfectly.
The SS’16 edition of the FPW will bring back faces that were missing at recently held PFDC Fashion Week in Lahore.
We are excited to see Hira Tareen back on the ramp along with other fabulous models including Mehreen Syed, Amna Baber, Abeer Rizvi, Noorey Bhatti and many others.

4. Celebrity Showstoppers
FPW is known for bringing in showstoppers from right, left and center of the entertainment industry, well sometimes, even from across the border as well (remember Pooja Bhatt walked for Deepak Perwani in SS’16 edition). The Ho Mann Jahaan team were showstoppers for Omar Sayeed at the previous edition of FPW. This time too, scores of celebrities are going to be the showstoppers for the designers.
