foodpanda/hellofood on Friday acquired competitor Entrega Delivery to strengthen its position in the Brazilian market. With its recently acquired $60 million funding, the company is expanding on the global markets with Entrega Delivery being its fourth acquisition in Brazil.

The company already maintains a strong presence in Brazil because of its partnerships with brands like Peixe Urbano, Jánamesa and MegaMenu that host over 2,000 restaurants in thirty cities of Brazil. This announcement comes soon after the acquisition of Singapore-Dine and Ételvitel KFT in Asia and Europe, respectively.

In Pakistan, the global brand has been operating as foodpanda since 2012 and delivering to nine cities across four provinces. It recently announced its online payment facility for a vast list of restaurant partners and became the first digital food ordering brand to do so. Customers can now place orders and pay via VISA compliant credit cards for their convenience.
