The groundbreaking ceremony for Karachi’s first international grade racing track, named ‘Omni Karting Circuit’ was held at the Airmen Golf Club & Recreation Park at Korangi Creek. The facility is being developed by Omni Motorsports Pvt. Ltd. established by Syed Ovais Naqvi.

Naqvi is Pakistan’s first Professional Formula Race car Driver along with some renowned businessmen & corporate professionals in the areas of motorsports, marketing, media, international business, finance & investment banking, management, entrepreneurship, real estate and construction.


Omni Motorsports Chairman, Roger Dawood Bayat, said “Our idea is to change the landscape of the family entertainment and recreation industry within our communities, cities and the country and we shall endeavor to build the finest motorsport tracks ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and professional managed facility where the goal is to provide for the public an exciting and healthy activity for the entire family.”

Roger also added that Omni Motorsports specialises in recreational and professional motorsports activities and the company is looking forward to developing pioneering international standard motorsports facilities and karting circuits all across Pakistan. As of now, the company is making a 3 million dollar investment to construct, develop and establish the Omni Karting Circuit in Karachi, Pakistan.

Soon we intend to expand and scale the business to other major metropolitan cities of Pakistan by opening similar facilities across the country and then subsequently beyond Pakistan to the international market by opening similar facilities in regional countries.” Roger added.

The Omni Karting Circuit will house a fleet of 30 karts capable of top speeds of 170 kph along with electronic kart timing equipment, F1 style start-finish lights, a kart control system, full racing gear, LCD screens and a giant outdoor LED screen. There will be a covered pits complex with 30 pit garages, a driver/member lounge, race control centre and media centre and a briefing room, according to ProPakistani. The circuit will also include a trackside restaurant/café & outdoor terrace, a rooftop viewing deck and grandstands. The facility will have an open landscaped multi-purpose area along with a park. There will be parking for 200 cars. It will house a state of the art F1 simulator.
