The New Year 2017 is here and there is an award season going on in Bollywood! Most coveted award shows like Stardust Awards 2017 ignored the Pakistani hero, Fawad Khan from the nominations. But now, it seems like he finally got the recognition he deserved by making it to the nomination list of Filmfare Awards this year!
FK got nominated for the Best Supporting Actor for Kapoor & Sons! Competing with him are Diljit Dosanjh for Udta Punjab, Jim Sarbh for Neerja, Rajat Kapoor for Kapoor & Sons, Rajkummar Rao for Aligarh and Rishi Kapoor for Kapoor & Sons.
Certainly, Khan is facing tough competition with the B-town’s veteran, Rishi Kapoor! However, we wish the dreamboat wins the battle and brings home the Filmfare accolade yet again!
Back in 2015, Pakistan’s King Khan won the Best Male Debut Award at Filmfare’s for his 1st Indian movie, Khoobusrat, and his fans could not have been happier!
Imagine how the celebrations would be this time around be if he seizes the Best Supporting Actor for Kapoor & Sons!
Meanwhile, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also bagged the nomination for Best Playback Singer (Male). Aslam made waves with his song “Teray sang yara” song in Rustom while Rahat’s “Jag Ghoomeya” in Sultan was one of the hit tunes of 2016!
What is more, Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch got nominated in the category of Best Playback Singer (Female) for Kari kari from the movie, Pink!
