UPDATE: According to Indian Express, the Bollywood diva has refused to work with a lesser known actor killing everyone’s dream to see her with Fawad Khan.
The ideal humsafar who can make a woman’s ‘zindagi gulzar’, Fawad Afzal Khan is rumored to star oppositeKareena Kapoor Khan in the upcoming Bollywood film, Udta Punjab.
The film is a multi starrer and according to rumors has Alia Bhatt paired with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor paired with Fawad Khan.
Shahid Kapoor was first rumored to be paired with his ex-girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor but according to reports Kareena Kapoor was not comfortable with this because of which he was paired with Alia Bhatt instead.
Even though Kareena Kapoor denied showing resistance, it is quite likely since the old flames have not been seen sharing the screen after the record breaker, Jab We Met which set the careers of both the stars on the right path.
Before Shahid Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana known for Vicky Donor was casted to star opposite Kareena Kapoor. However earlier this month Ayushmann walked out of the project and Kareena was thought to be the reason behind this as she only wanted to work with A List actors. These rumors died in the face of the statement given byAyushmann Khurrana:
“I didn’t do ‘Udta Punjab’ because our dates were not matching. I had given prior commitments to my films ‘1911’ and ‘Hamara Bajaj’, and so the dates were clashing.”
The drama thriller will be directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Phantom Production. The film’s story revolves around the social issue of drug addiction and will develop to convey a social message.
Since the story is based in Punjab, Kareena Kapoor will be taking Punjabi speaking classes by a Delhi University professor for ten days to perfect her Punjabi dialect.
