Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi’s first International project with Oscar winner Danis Tanovic is based on Pakistani salesman Syed Aamir Raza who blew the whistle on International giant Nestle’s controversial operations in Pakistan that created the biggest controversy for the company till date.

The movie titled Tigers, has received much appreciation on its world premiere in Toronto this week, ironically it is the same city where Syed Aamir Raza now drives a cab.

Toronto International Film Festival received an overwhelming ‘sold out’ audience for the movie premiere.

Emraan hashmi, named Ayan in the movie, along with Geetanjali who will be playing the role of Emraan’s wife,’Zainab.

Ayan and Zainab are pseudonyms for “Syed Aamir Raza’ and wife ‘Shafqat’. There is a good chance that the brand’s name will also be changed.

Film critics remarked that Tanovic’s neat work has made the story come to life, as it showcased the courage and faith it took to bring the world’s largest food company, Nestle on its knees.

The story revolves around how a former Nestle salesman fights a multinational giant when he realizes that babies are dying as a result of a flawed infant baby product.

The real life Tigers, Aamir and Shafqat joined the cast on stage as they were greeted by a standing ovation.

To mark the event, Aamir said, “The mission we began in Pakistan was on a very small scale, but thanks to the filmmakers it has come into a very powerful medium to reach people all around the world. I am grateful to everyone who worked on this film and made it possible. I was not expecting that at the end of the film I would be accepted with a standing ovation. I am thankful that people love it and understand what we have been struggling to do as a family.”
