The 21st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards was held on Sunday 17 January in Santa Monica. combining for the first time both film and TV winners into one event
“Mad Max: Fury Road” was one of the big winners of the night, picking up nine awards in total including both Best Actor and Actress In An Action Movie for Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, and Best Director for George Miller, however it was “Spotlight” which was awarded the honour of Best Picture.
Oscar hopeful Leonardo DiCaprio took Best Actor for “The Revenant” with Best Supporting Actor going to Sylvester Stallone for his role in “Creed”, whilst Brie Larson was awarded Best Actress for her performance in “Room”, and Alicia Vikander Best Supporting Actress for “The Danish Girl”.
